Murano needs a, say, 2,5 L diesel with 170 hp: entry model, and a 3,5 L diesel with 230 hp. When you have that, you can start thinking about a gasoline engine
but... it wouldnt make sense, because in general American's don't buy diesels. Don't get me wrong, I think diesels are cool... They just dont sell in the US, so I think Nissan just doesn't want to risk it. I dunno

And I'm not talking only about the American market, this car in general isn't fitted with a diesel, anywhere. And that is a problem. European and other SUVs are all fitted with at least two diesels.
