They might've done the whole limousine/caviar/whatever thing with award shows and other public events but it's not like they were "party animals". People do drugs for very different reasons. Somewhere along the way of later Gen X & Gen Y, maybe Gen Z, we've just become totally enamoured with stupidity in music, it's horrible how low we've become, we're like neanderthals again. We need another grunge movement, Christ it sucks seeing Lil Wayne in the pages of Rolling Stone

@MathewGCBB In Utero, Dirt and Rage Against the Machine's self titled :) but basically everything that emerged during this time was the shit, like Tool, the whole "grunge" thing, Faith No More.... It was just so much more honest then the wave of bland fake bands to come after that...and nowadays it's even worse with all the super nice indie bands, where is the voice of the rebels today?
