I've been to Esmeraldes, Ecuador and it is beautiful! There are soooooo many afro-latinos, I thought I was in Southeast DC and I was embraced! Ecuadorians talk VERY bad about Peruvians, calling us "Indians" or "cholos"....hahahaha.....they obviously don't have mirrors, because most Ecuadorians have pure or mixed Amerindian features, like Peruvians.
