The voice is actually james remar in this episode but Richard moll reprises his role in a later episode....... And I don't really like this series at all
Alright this show is absolute shit, but it's kind of needed. This is here to just prove Batman can be done many ways. As long as they're not trying to make any serious changes and be serious like TSA or The Batman that's fine.
Quit making the black characters white. Why else was everyone disappointed with the Green Lantern movie when they saw he was white (though originally white, he was better black) because it was the better one.
While i'm not a fan of this version of two face, i understand that the writers may have been going for more of the campy comic book and Adam West tv show feel and that's fine. Some like it and some don't. I don't like it, but if you do, that's just fine
Two Face needs to do this kind of thing more often. He's supposed to have a dual nature, but a lot of the time he's just a disfigured crime boss. Seeing him like htis is really refreshing :)
I think this is a perfectly acceptable interpretation of Batman and his world. For god's sake, the character has been around since the 30's, why limit yourself to his more grim characterization when he spent a good amount of time as a lighter character? Why retread what B:TAS, the films and recent video games have done when there are DECADES of stories to pull from?
In short, I think the haters are just angry they don't get all the references to DC history and lore.
Oh come on guys, this show doesn't take itself seriously and knows what it is. It kinda feels like watching an old comic book, and that's cool and different. Not every comic book adaption has to be dark and edgy.
@CJAproductionsINC Actually it's not. In this show he's played by James Remar. But in the episode "Chill of the Night", Richard Moll was brought on to play Lou Moxton, and he voiced one line for Two-Face in the episode as well.
@mrtrixxxter Ha, better in every regard! I consider Batman: The Animated Series from the 90's the best animated series in existence. Nothing I've seen has topped it yet. The Brave and the Bold is good for bringing Batman back out of the adult realm and into the kids', but beyond that TAS is so much better.
@blahmehblah1 THIS particular Two-Face was created within the last two years for the show Batman: The Brave and the Bold. THAT Two-Face was created for Batman: The Animated Series. @FFFan3445 Wow you really are a rude son of a bitch. This Twp Face was directly inspired and copied from the Two Face origins comic, Two Face's tie eventually went and in came the bow tie

That has nothing to do with facts though, you said that this Two Face is NATIVE to this TV show, now that right there, is the stinkiest pile of bullshit you ever will see
@SilentBlues23 Of course, Batman: The Animated Series was like a constant orgasm for over 100 episodes. Too bad there were one or two obscenely bad episodes in the last season, like the one with the farmer. :<
I thought that Two-Face was going to crack that face to face to face joke but luckily they modified it. I have heard the joke said by Rupert Thorne, Penguin and the Joker even says it in a comic entitled "Joker". The pun gets REALLY old after a while.
I've decided to conclude with this because we already dominate these comments. Batman The Animated Series is a show from 1992. That's about 20 years ago. To expect that newer Batman shows such as The Batman and Batman BATB should either work inside of this continuity or simply not exist is arrogant and hyper-nostalgic to say the least. Timm is not responsible for these toons; he's devoted to the DC cartoon movies they're pumping out. Please, stop trolling fans of this series and let it go.
modern day comic canon goes back decades as well. that was also the greatness of the DCAU. it ran from 1992-2006. (Timm wants to go back to it btw) and like DCU canon doesn't need to be 100% so many possibilities thrown away.
its not just canon mind you, its also respect for the characters. respecting the source material means that they would more or less already do DCAU. because its dcAu.
stop trolling non-fans of this series and let it go :P
@henkman00 I get your points. I too want a return to the DCAU continuity, but in the meantime, I'm happy with shows like this that feature good animation and a new take on Batman. Anyway my point is that there's no point to hating on this series for not being the same things as a series 20 years its senior... Of course it'll be different, and of course you'll feel bitter, but why lash out in public forums like this? What does it accomplish? I hope Timm comes back to the DCAU, but not in this.
that i can write down my opinion. my original comment was about Two-face remember? not hating this show. i dont hate it and even plan to sit down and watch more one day, BUT that doesnt change why i find it a shame that they dropped the direction that the DCAU took. 20 years old? more or less but whatever modern day Batman i pick up (comics/arkham asylum) has more or less the same mood. this however is based on a comic book that is 50 years old. and it shows.
now i have nothing against going back to past versions (no matter how modern fans hate them :P) one of my fav B:TAS eps is the one were we see the 50/60s style, and it really shows how in those days 'cheese' was the main factor of storytelling. and i loved to see that again. (as a West fan) but i also see an animated world that is aimed more and more at younger kids with the idea 'they will not get it anyway so why make an effort?' feel to it. it stinks even more to lose the DCAU then
@henkman00 I get you. Anyway, this show is just as based on the comics as BTAS, but it's based more on The Brave and the Bold series (a real comic book, I assure you), in which light-hearted team-ups occur in every issue. Plenty of underused heroes and villains are in this show if you ever go ahead and watch more. This one is more a "Batman and all of the DCU" rather than "Batman inside of Gotham City".
To be honest, I don't know why I posted that first comment. What I really should say is this: How dare people criticize this TV show for going outside the BTAS canon? It's been more than a decade, let that universe go for a while. Brave and the Bold is AWESOME because it embraces a light Batman that's fun to watch as an adult or a kid, and not too cheesy (unintentionally). It still has its dark moments, to be sure (see Emperor Joker). This show is very good. Is it BTAS? Nah, but it shouldn't be.
people dare because its their opinion (as in IMHO) throwing away the DCAU was a shame. like never before was there a massive canon of animated shows set in the same universe. with characters that actually had a back story (instead of now this is Batman) it was so good some people even find it better than the comics they were based on. its a pity the franchise was re-set to dated Batman and not a new hero show, more episodes. look i liked Adam West but its been done. its the past.
1. What's wrong with a Batman show geared MORE toward kids than adults? Can DC not do whatever it wants with its own properties anymore? Furthermore, there are dark moments in this show. In Emperor Joker, Joker repeatedly and graphically kills Batman, for example.
2. I agree that DCAU should be revived, at least for in-continuity movies and a Justice League show that takes place in the era of Batman Beyond.
One more thing: BTAS IS cheesy. watch?v=133GRjmQWV8
1) nothing but then dont be surprised if adults feel left out, also the comics are for adults. DC does make comics for the little ones. 2) agreed -but it doesnt fit with the comment you write to...yourself? od that you call yourself arrogant to have an opinion-
you call that cheesy? (humor clips out of context on a fans fav list?) then everything Batman is cheesy. look at this video again. it has cheese as well. that you like 60s style batman fine, i do to but its 2011
Watch the first season of Batman the Animated Series again... It's sooo cheezy and doesn't live up to the nostalgia. It only really got good when the New Adventures of Batman or whatever came up, revamped the art style, and continued. This serious is NOT a parody, it's just a return to the lighthearted batman of yesteryear, and I for one love it. The modern batman is little more than a psychopath. This one is back to the meat and potatoes of crimefighting.
Batman the animated series is called by many one of, if not the createst animated series of all time. and lets just say it: the best version of Batman ever. it went back to Bob Kane's original idea for the character (pre-dating the 'meat and patatoes of crimefighting') it has wonderful writing, basicly every episode is either amazing or very good (only know one really bad one) i for one love it. and how can one be nostalgic in the DVD age?
@henkman00 I'll be the first to say that BTAS is one of the most influential cartoons in the history of the medium, and Lord knows I grew up on it and clung to the TV while watching every episode. What I mean is that the show really is geared toward kids in a very big way and it can be a little awkward to watch some scenes today. For sure, BTAS didn't shy away from Dark origins and characterizations, but there were plenty of facepalming cheese moments, and it overall doesn't beat JLU, IMHO.
.....geared towards kids....? i disagree 100% B:TAS (and the hole DCAU) was aimed at comic book fans (as in source material) however the shows creators found a way to have the show be watchable for both adults and kids. i cant imagine the cheese or 'scenes' your talking about, all i saw was that by todays standerds B:TAS maybe to scary for kids. i would say the show is for 12 and up, this looks more like 6-8 to me. also in characterization and the 60s cheese IMHO :P
everything the DCAU built between 1992-2006 (Batman TAS-JLU) is thrown aside for a little cartoon show, what a shame. the TAS Two-face was written and presented so well i actually felt sorry for the guy. on that show we felt what a horror it was for Dent to be trapped between the two halves, here? oh he is good and evil and the coin decides...the end. POW! what a shame.
This Batman series reminds me of Teen Titans. There are episodes that are campy and more for the kids but then there are other episodes that are serious. In "Chill of the Night" there was no camp that I can remember. Just Batman in full-blown revenge mode.
Why does it look like in :21, The thug is SIDING with Batman goin up agains't 2F and his thug... I know he is with two face but thats what it looks like haha
@kooliokooliokoolio The animated Batman was better than this. And still is. It is so advanced and adult, yet still retained the child-like mystery around batman. This was just Adam West in a cartoon
@halloweenfan92 Almost certain. I checked in imdb, And it said the role of TwoFace in this episode "Fate of Equinox" is made by James Remar. And you can tell. Although they sound very similar, you can noticed is another voice actor.
Richard Moll played Lew Moxon in "Chill of the Night", and also made the one line of Two-Face said in that episode.

@henkman00 Just two things:

@XinBiDe

@XinBiDe
.....geared towards kids....? i disagree 100% B:TAS (and the hole DCAU) was aimed at comic book fans (as in source material) however the shows creators found a way to have the show be watchable for both adults and kids. i cant imagine the cheese or 'scenes' your talking about, all i saw was that by todays standerds B:TAS maybe to scary for kids. i would say the show is for 12 and up, this looks more like 6-8 to me. also in characterization and the 60s cheese IMHO :P

everything the DCAU built between 1992-2006 (Batman TAS-JLU) is thrown aside for a little cartoon show, what a shame. the TAS Two-face was written and presented so well i actually felt sorry for the guy. on that show we felt what a horror it was for Dent to be trapped between the two halves, here? oh he is good and evil and the coin decides...the end. POW! what a shame.

This Batman series reminds me of Teen Titans. There are episodes that are campy and more for the kids but then there are other episodes that are serious. In "Chill of the Night" there was no camp that I can remember. Just Batman in full-blown revenge mode.

mgrchip 1 year ago
@kooliokooliokoolio The animated Batman was better than this. And still is. It is so advanced and adult, yet still retained the child-like mystery around batman. This was just Adam West in a cartoon

@halloweenfan92 That's not Richard Moll, but they sound kind of similar. It's an actor called James Remar
SaulFernandezPrieto 1 year ago
@SaulFernandezPrieto really? i swear from what i read it said he reprised his role in this one
halloweenfan92 1 year ago
@halloweenfan92 Almost certain. I checked in imdb, And it said the role of TwoFace in this episode "Fate of Equinox" is made by James Remar. And you can tell. Although they sound very similar, you can noticed is another voice actor.
Richard Moll played Lew Moxon in "Chill of the Night", and also made the one line of Two-Face said in that episode.
