We had a chain of electronic stores in NY (not sure if went national) called Nobody Beats the Wiz, more commonly referred to as just The Wiz, so when Mason Verger said that line the whole theater went quiet, caught offguard, and then erupted in laughter.
@CodyOsborn1 hannibal was real i thought the real Hannibal was named Albert Fish born around 1847 and i got a question what is wrong with the guy on the vid face?
@TheNoobkilla911 i think during his youth dr lecter drugged and make him cut his face feeding his own dogs or making him eat his own face not sure, but i think one of those 2 or both ... yummie
The only thing the two have in common is that they're both cannibals, the profile of a serial killer makes it impossible for Hannibal Lecter to be truly based on someone.
@faridjabba Actually this is incorrect. We never see what happened to the chap who was unlucky enough to become Hannibal's nemesis while he was confined. This character (Mason Verger, played by Gary Oldman) was actually a patient of Hannibal's before Hannibal was caught. Hannibal didn't directly attack Verger really... He drugged him and had him cut up his own face and feed it to dogs.
The guy who ran the facility, well we can assume he died because of the Silence Of The Lambs ending.
@VicariousGamer Thanks man my bad. That's exactly what I thought " that he was the guy being followed" at end of the lambs. Thanks for the correction.
@Algonquin81 No, this isn't that guy. Mason Verger was a former patient of Hannibal, before he was put into that facility. We can assume the guy you're talking about died, because of the ending of Silence Of The Lambs. In fact, his death may even be briefly mentioned in Hannibal but I can't remember.

@NorthCountryBoy43 Hannibal Lecter M.D. is a fictional character in a series of horror novels by Thomas Harris and in the films adapted from them.

faridjabba 2 months ago
@faridjabba False. He IS fictional. It's a book. There is a famous person by the name of Hannibal, but this is not his story.
