Gratified to know other 45 Grave fans have a hard time with the lyrics, I mean I'm sure the intention is condemnation; to me it's about the fact that when people do evil shit they often are having a good time, which is scary and sick but true. So it's artistic to have this version. I'm actually kinda glad it's a different version in ROTLD though, it would otherwise be bad weird.
I prefer this over the "zombie version" personally. The lyrics though... : / are the only reason why I prefer to sing the zombie one. But the overall sound here is so much better the the one used in RotLD
hey goblin actually this isnt a bad sound.the real 45 grave didnt get much away from this.i saw them live at the jockey club and bought the album autographed by dinah and rob,i have been jamming on that record 23 years.
Boy, it's hard to bring yourself to sing along if you know the lyrics...fortunately, it's not a problem if you're singing the ROTLD one with the zombie lyrics.
Vixen, never redid this song, the version u here in harbodies is 45 grave, just the single version, this one orignal, the single version rocks! much better, in the movie Vixen was playing a concert on the beach and some fat dude with a boom box with the single version of "partytime" walked up and was blasting it, but it wasnt Vixen, someone put that version on here, its the single version from sleep in saftey ..please!
Oh, and in case I wasn't clear in my previous post, the song fucking rocks as well! However, I can't bring myself to sing along to it, chorus excepted.
I'm sure the horrible stuff depicted in the lyrics is happening somewhere every day, sadly. I heard the film version originally, but only came across this version recently. It's absolutely bleak lyrically, and the chorus is frightening in context with the rest of the song - we can only shudder at what the "party" consisted of. I've analysed it every way I can, and I can only conclude that this song is pure art in the best way. I think it would be difficult not to be affected by it.
dude you wouldnt believe but i came across 45 grave because i like the song so much in the movie, it's in that part where the white girl with the red hair shows up, so i waited till the end of the entire credits to see who the song was by, i GUESSED the name of course!

@LightningChimp It's definitely not something you want to be belting out when you have company over, that's for sure, but I agree.

The sound quality here is so horrible, it's difficult to tell which is better. Maybe if I actually HEAR the original version sometime, I can decide.

The lyrics, to be blunt, are truly scary. Scarier then the song. I wonder if the lyrics were made up or true?

The sound at the end of this song sounds like the beginning of the cd version of "Violent World"

LOL!! IS THIS THE SAME SONG THAT VIXEN did
in the movie "Hardbodies"? The lyrics they
sang were almost unintelligible...except for
the chorus "It's Party Time". But the full
lyrics here...GRUESOME!
The LaserDisc credits 45 Grave---as I've
seen (since the Canadian LP is practically
nonexistant for "Hardbodies".)
