When I was younger the dark ruins creeped me out so much I couldn't advance the story. I went in, it was pitch-black and I was too scared to move. I tried Evac and Zoom AND talking to fellow party members but nothing happened. Eventually I actually shut the game off and lost progress. After putting the game down for a long while, I eventually got the courage to go in and walk around, although the evil laugh at the end scared me.

@calliefornia123 I don't know HOW i managed NOT to die during my FIRST time in this dungeon. My jaw literally dropped when I won that battle. Quite possibly the most frustrating boss fight I have ever come across in a rpg EVER. I have no idea HOW I won that fight but believe me, I was ECSTATIC! O__O

The first time I came to the Dark Ruins, I felt that this was truly the pinnacle moment of the game: the showdown between these four determined warriors and a maniacal clown under the control of Rhapthorne. All that was between him and I was this dungeon.
