I don't understand why they're not releasing this game for PC. I believe the PC has a much bigger audience for extremely hard games, look at the roguelikes for instance.

One thing I most wish for, is that Fromsoft create a new "world" and "soul" balance system. There are too many ways that the game can be broken (world+++ and still missing all white and all pure trophy)!
Also, I wish the A.I.s are better for the NPCs, at least so that they don't go "suicide" into the oblivion (Miralda you hear?)...
And for the love of god, please add some kind of fail safe to the ATTACK actions in Nexus*! In case the players DO NOT intend to hit them!
I have both an Xbox360 and a Ps3, but I have to agree that this should have stayed an exclusive to the ps3. Having this be multiplatform means it will lack certain qualities that were present in the original Demons Souls. This is due to the way the game will have to be reprogramed for both consoles.
As much as I hate to say it, this will not live up to the Demons Souls name.

nigga forreal this again? no this is not demons souls 2. its a remake of the SAME story of demons souls, with different characters and elements. but some of the same elements too. i mean fuck, how many time do people have to hear and read NOT demons souls 2 until they understand and comprehend that its not DS2?

@ghostlykev When the PS3 came out, it costed about 704 USD (well in Estonia atleast) and for that money you could get a VERY good computer. I dont actually have a problem with not having a PS3, cause i do have it and i also have a good computer, and id the games would released on a computer, it would be cheaper. (PC game=61 USD & PS3 game = 96 USD, that's a great difference)

well don't fear about dark souls because it is being developed as a ps3 sequel in japan, that means that they are basicly building a ps3 exclusive and once they are done with it the publisher is going to send the code to another dev to port it to the 360. nigga forreal this again? no this is not demons souls 2. its a remake of the SAME story of demons souls, with different characters and elements. but some of the same elements too. i mean fuck, how many time do people have to hear and read NOT demons souls 2 until they understand and comprehend that its not DS2?

Why the fuck do they have to make this Multiplat if the first is an exclusive? I know damn well that Xbots are going to HATE this game. Deamons' Souls was one of the most unforgiving games, and lacked to hold your hand in any scenario. No Xbox game really does that, and I think the fans are happy because of it.

@RoboJules I'm an Xbox player(Mind you I'm just a straight gamer and love both PS3 and 360. Lol) and Demon Soul from what I saw of it was freaking awesome and can't wait for the second one. And I believe that there are a nice handful of gamers who will enjoy DS. Now Uncharted and inFAMOUS need to stay on PS3. But a game like this that pissed you off like no tomorrow on the 360 was Ninja Gaiden.

@RoboJules wow no man, you`re wrong, demon souls is like the game i MOST admire and miss not being on xbox. this was probably the greatest news ever, and so do all my friends think so (xbox friends). Plus this is sorta a new game, it has a different world, a different story and setting, so it also has a new name.

My gaming-life has a meaning again, the return of the soul/ball-crusher.
One of the greatest games has a sequel as hoped for, i hope they have eliminated the "Exp-loss on death" then the difficulty will drop to an acceptable level

I dont understand 1 thing about sony. They make computers, good ones, and they dont release games on PC's, they only release on the PS3. There are PC's with better system properties than the PS3, so i think it isn't a question of power. Maybe it's because most computers run Microsoft software. Guess you'll never know if they'll ever change their minds.

@ghostlykev When the PS3 came out, it costed about 704 USD (well in Estonia atleast) and for that money you could get a VERY good computer. I dont actually have a problem with not having a PS3, cause i do have it and i also have a good computer, and id the games would released on a computer, it would be cheaper. (PC game=61 USD & PS3 game = 96 USD, that's a great difference)

@FullFire3 Thats true when the PS3 did come out it was like $700 but no one bought it cuz of that and now it's $300. Most people can afford that, so when we see a gaming PC thats $700 to $2000 and we see a PS3 or a 360 which is $300; it just seem logical to buy a console OH and most people cant build there own gaming PC which is cheaper so were out of luck there to. Yes PC games r cheaper..sometimes..but its the big sum thats in ur face first. Gaming PC r great tho its just hard to get one haha.

i've seen decent pcs on newegg for less than 500 bucks... they could definitely run most modern games short of ridiculous ones like Crysis quite well.
if you build one yourself, it's even cheaper. and it's not difficult, it's as simple as "plug cord A into slot B"... just a little time consuming if you're new at it
i play all consoles but i think more gamers should be pc gamers

@CrizzyEyes yea.. can those PC run Star Craft 2 at high spec, cuz ur right us gamers should play more PC game. i started out being a PC gamer "StarCraft where its at!! haha" but after the rise in price i went to consoles. i do wish i had a good PC so i can play Diablo III and StarCraft II, PC has some of the best games.

@ghostlykev I totally agree with you dude, just the thing with PC is that you can download games. I dont think you want waste your warranty on any Sony product just so you could download. Sony does prefer quality over quantity, a little like apple but when i could choose, i would stick to a PC, cuz it will definitely last longer, the PS3 will share the same fate as the PS2 and the PS1, it will just take a little time ;)

well don't fear about dark souls because it is being developed as a ps3 sequel in japan, that means that they are basicly building a ps3 exclusive and once they are done with it the publisher is going to send the code to another dev to port it to the 360. Kind of like what EA did with the orange box on ps3, and if you ever had the misfortune to play the ps3 version you know how things like this turn out.

this is demons souls 2 they changed the name because sony published the original demons souls and this game is going multiplatform so sony wont allow its competitors (XBOX 360) to have demons souls on their platform so software changed the name to dark souls which is pretty close to the name demons souls

@greennnn21 gameplay is a 100% similar online is gona be similar death is going to be treated similarly and the new places and story is what you expect out of a sequel since in demon souls you saved the world nad turned it into normal demons souls focused only on one kingdom now that the world is saved theres more to explore and more evil to vanquish so yes is pretty much demons souls 2 just take demons out of it and you get DARK SOULS AKA DEMONS SOULS 2
