The only important part of climate change is who foots the bill. If it's the consumer, nothing will change. If it is the energy companies, we will see affordable renewable energy. This whole video comes off as a little smug and a little too self assured. Science is full of mistakes, some publicized, some not. It portrays scientists as above emotional motives. It is true scientists assume human error and faulty thinking is inherent in there process and that it takes measures to remove it, however, even their method for removing faulty thinking is subject to poor judgement. It is hard to remove emotion from science and brother there is a lot of emotion in this debate.

Because while the overall temperature is rising, what that means in practical terms is that the estabilshed weather patterns around the world will change; hence the new term, "Climate Change".

Well, you certainly don't seem to understand a lot of things. First, we cannot know if you sit in a chair or not. We can judge that based on our perception, wether a person sits in a chair or not. But that's just our perception, not reality. It's true that things are the way they are, but how we perceive them doesn't naturally have to be the way they really are. Nor can we ever be sure that something we know or believe to be true, is actually true. We can only say that it's likely to be true.
So first: reality exists, but for us, it's always just perception and a estimated guess of how likely our perception might be true. Remember, as far as we know, we can only perceive 3 Dimensions and everything we see and perceive is just the interpretation of our brain.
One example:
Is the color blue, blue for everyone?
Well, of course, you might say, because everyone would say the sky is blue.
But isn't that what we get thought, what we learn?

Then compare the descriptions.

Google it, I can't provide a link here. You can also search "NASA 2005 warmest year" for an article on NASA's website.

Your nerves aren't sensitive enough to feel a repulsion at the atomic level. Atoms are very, very small. You aren't really levitating off your chair; there's just some degree of repulsion there.
You CAN push two magnets together if you use enough force too counteract the electromagnetic force. Electrons will always repel other electrons, but electrons can move through most materials somewhat freely. Atoms and the particles which form them can move.

So tell me if your data is crap and analysis is complex, what do you get? Crap. It has been shown in the past decade or so that NASA has virtually not quality control on its data. The only important part of climate change is who foots the bill. If it's the consumer, nothing will change. If it is the energy companies, we will see affordable renewable energy. Any attempt to tax people for climate change will result in worsening the climate, and robbing the people. This whole video comes off as a little smug and a little too self assured. Science is full of mistakes, some publicized, some not. It portrays scientists as above emotional motives. It is true scientists assume human error and faulty thinking is inherent in there process and that it takes measures to remove it, however, even their method for removing faulty thinking is subject to poor judgement. It is hard to remove emotion from science and brother there is a lot of emotion in this debate.

i learned from books publish in 1994. When i was first introduced to global warming was in 2003. They called it GLOBAL WARMING. Next in the year 2006 i warned allot of people about it and 2 years later in 2008 i was told that it was climate change.
Learn from this video, it says science is always trying to be disproved. And no they aren't the same, and heres the kicker we don't know if its bad or not. Climate change can go in both ways. Global warming can only go to a overall warmer planet.

Well, you certainly don't seem to understand a lot of things. First, we cannot know if you sit in a chair or not. We can judge that based on our perception, wether a person sits in a chair or not. But that's just our perception, not reality. It's true that things are the way they are, but how we perceive them doesn't naturally have to be the way they really are. Nor can we ever be sure that something we know or believe to be true, is actually true. We can only say that it's likely to be true.

So first: reality exists, but for us, it's always just perception and a estimated guess of how likely our perception might be true. Remember, as far as we know, we can only perceive 3 Dimensions and everything we see and perceive is just the interpretation of our brain.
One example:
Is the color blue, blue for everyone?
Well, of course, you might say, because everyone would say the sky is blue.
But isn't that what we get thought, what we learn?
Describe the color blue.

Then compare the descriptions.
I'm sure you will see that this doesn't work to find out wether we all perceive blue as blue.
A child that sees blue as red will still learn the sky is blue, and it will call the red sky it sees a "blue sky" and it will describe the red it sees, as the blue someone else sees.

it's more like 0.9, and then years later we discover that 0.87 is more accurate. And it continues that way. We get closer, but due to our limited perception, we will never ever be able to be absolutely certain that what we estimate is right.
I'm fairly sure you know what happens when you round numbers in a big equation and split it into multiple operations. You don't get the right result.

Science is an inferior study? to what? why study anything if you know it already?
Never created anything? How do you explain modern tech? none would be possible w/o science (unless you INSIST on remaining in the dark ages where religious dogma persecuted anyone trying to improve our way of life)

The goal is a garden paradise lifestyle. Today is July 9th and the surfers here in San Diego are wearing their WET SUITES because the water is sooo cold. Normally those wet suites would have been hung up in the closet in mid May and taken out again sometime in early October

The problem with all this is that Greg is saying: Science is so uncertain, you have to leave it to the "experts" so you know what to believe. This ignores the plain truth that *ALL* of the scientists that subscribe to global warming that made predictions a decade ago, are wrong. Their most basic predictions about inevitable warming have been incorrect (we have been cooling over the last 10 years, not warming).
Moral of the story: Check your scientists ability to predict before you trust

Simply false. Please provide a source. 2005 was the warmest year since records began (in the 1860's) and 2007 the second warmest tied with 1998. Source: Nasa GISS surface temperature analysis. Google it, I can't provide a link here. You can also search "NASA 2005 warmest year" for an article on NASA's website.

And just how out of touch with reality and lacking of common sense can you be to make a statement like "ALL of the scientists that subscribe to global warming are wrong" and imply that they've somehow OVERLOOKED the fact that we've been "cooling over the last 10 years" (which isn't true).You don't have ANY EDUCATION or ANY EXPERTISE on the subject yet you can make an absolute statement asserting that almost the entire scientific community is WRONG and you've magically found out the truth.Absurd!

He is right about how we tend to start with a belief and then move to evidence but it's dam hard to do otherwise and form an opinion in this world with a media that forces one opinion only down our throats and calls you a nutter if you question them. I think its right to say we should be lloking for alternatives to oil but what no-one is focused on is why and what they will be. We should not limit the use of oil. But it seem to me that chair is just matter and butt is matter and the feeling you are getting is maybe like gravitational force and homosex like electrons trying to invade bunghole. if eletrons force totally over come then bunghole and chair become one and when you arise chair and bunghole are stuck together maybe like when you sit on nasty thing. Your nerves aren't sensitive enough to feel a repulsion at the atomic level. Atoms are very, very small. You aren't really levitating off your chair; there's just some degree of repulsion there.
You CAN push two magnets together if you use enough force too counteract the electromagnetic force. Electrons will always repel other electrons, but electrons can move through most materials somewhat freely. Atoms and the particles which form them can move.

Part 2: In computing we have a term GIGO (Garbage In Garbage Out) Much of the data, in the temperature record is crap. NASA runs these complex algorithms on this crap. So tell me if your data is crap and analysis is complex, what do you get? Crap. It has been shown in the past decade or so that NASA has virtually not quality control on its data. It runs analyses on data from a lab never checking the source. And I am supposed to believe them because they are the "experts."
