Senator Burr, tell us why you supported the 700 billion dollar banker bailout while most American were against it? Tell us where that money went to? Most of us know it went into the pockets of the CEO as year end bonuses! I guess you will be getting a lot of that money in campaign contributions and gifts from lobbyist, huh? Now your against Obama's stimulus plan, LOL! Tell me why my credit card finance charge just went up to 30 percent? Who you're really working for, it not the People of NC!

How can you claim principle today, when you voted for the TARP (Billionaire Banker Bailout) that was just as egregious as this one!

Bush's bailout paid off the Republican campaign contributors, and Barack's bailout pays off the Democrat campaign contributors.

By supporting Bush's bailout and opposing Obama's, you demonstrate that you have no principle, only politics.

BOTH bailouts are theft and fraud. Please do what is best for the GOP and do not run again.

liza - in order for the economy to recover, the marketplace has to correct to it's proper value, and reverse the artificially distorted valuations, whereupon we can begin to grow and recover jobs.

All of these stimulus plans make the problem worse, by further distorting values out of the market; and bleeding off market value into the pockets of billionaire campaign contributors.

You have needs here and now, as do I. But the solution is not taking money from us and giving it to millionaires!

Sen Burr,  what is your solution. SOLUTIONS are what we need to feed and house ourselves and our children. We have immediate needs here in NC!!! Jobs are being lost daily and most of us don't have the money in the bank or in retirement accounts to keep us going for much longer. It's very easy to sit in a warm home, well dressed and well fed and say this doesn't work for us (republicans).

Please work WITH the president - we don't care about which party is in power. We still need SOLUTIONS

Common sense, thank you Sen Burr!!There are 100's of well thought of Economists who totally disagree with this throwing money into the wind.

It's is more of the same from Dems- more entitlement programs, more socialism, paying for STD's? paying for the Arts? This is more wasteful spending.

Obama is full of it. He doesn't want Bi-partsian input, he simply wants the conservatives to shut up and agree as his liberal socialism mind can't see the forrest through the trees.
