  • @rockinjoxx No, my gymnastics academy was fairly good. Just didn't do that particular abs exercise. I grew up working my abs with intensity and still do. But just never came across that particular exercise. I learned that pole vaulters do it.

  • @platinumberg09 I think you'd want plenty of ceiling height for your legs to go all the way up. And be damn sure the pull up bar is VERY securely attached. You never would want to fall on to your head and neck. It's a fun abs workout.

  • That is a very basic ab exercise and not very difficult. try looking into parkour training or planches, that is good ab training.

  • This is a phenomenal ab workout if you keep your arms straight. If you bend your elbows to get the momentum to "swing" your legs up, it kills the exercise.

  • in response to herwandez, no...u should def have someone there, just for safety reasons alone, after the first few times you'll start getting a feel for it....the hardest part (imo) is keeping your legs perfectly flush and contracting them the WHOLE way down to the tip of the bar....THAT is a challenge in itself...then pushing back up, lol good luck

  • this IS an extremely hard ab exercise but it IS possible...I can do these, but only do them at minimal now because it IS an intense burn, and also you need great upper body strength because you are literally hanging on for dear life not to fall on your head while still doing ab work....very intense workout, but yes the results are great and also people give you the WTF look in the gym because not many incorporate this in their daily routine LOL!

  • I learned that exercise from this video and I can now manage 3 sets of 6. The burn is intense. Practice practice practice.

  • That's great to hear.  I stopped getting a burn with abs exercising in my mid teen years. This exercise is a good one.

    There are excellent exercises and Morrison demonstrates them well. Keep at it and you'll make progress.

  • morrison definately takes protein shakes and all that shit, but u dont need to, u can just workout a body part a day, get good results and dont even use any of the shakes and drink shit

  • I'm not a pro wrestling fan but a few guys caught my attention for their builds and athleticism. Morrison is one of them. He plays a character, but he's still got perhaps the physique out there. Randy Orton seems to have stripped the bodyfat while recovering from some injury (busted collarbone I think). I respect athleticism and the results in the gym.

  • i added this to my ab workout and have been doin it for about a month now. it really did help shape up my six pack to a more defined one. started off only doin 10 or so now i can do 20 dependin on what time of my workout i do them. huge help. thanks morrison, u fuckin rule

  • Santino, thanks for your endorsement! I was a gymnast-wrestler and have enjoyed Morrison the athlete (I don't like pro wrestling much). I can do these easily because of so many years of intense abdominal work, but found that they seem to work my abs in a new and different way. Glad you're carving up your abs with it! ABS ARE GREAT MUSCLES TO EXERCISE.

  • this workout IS extremely hard...but it IS possible!! I actually just accomlished it the other day and was ecstatic! but just like andy said it DOES require other stablizing muscles than just abs! seriusly though be VERY careful with this routine....u can really do major damage if your not careful and mentally prepared for it. I may make a video and throw it up here sometime doing it

  • Morrison's a guy who keeps in great shape and I appreciate that. He's a great athlete overall. I've really enjoyed this abs workout and respect his results.

  • Yeah Sean it is. BUT it gets easier as your abs get strong. I guess that's part of the point. I never saw this exercise before and am trying to do it first in my abs workout because it's hard. I also like it because it requires other stabilizing muscles to do it--it's not an abs-specific exercise. But Morrison's got the BEST abs of any wrestler I've seen. Cena maybe is next, tho. Keep doing the Morrison abs exercise. It's great.
