this song has so much emotion and they totally threw it away:/ its sad because this song can be sooo amazing if sung at the right tempo with lots of emotion. i hope my school does it better...no offense
We did this in adca as an satb peice and we we're amazing w/our director Tom Shelton but this tempo and the vowel sounds this is an accented song but you should still articulate
You do NOT have to fake Scottish accents to make it sound right . Sing it in your own accent . Do I have to sing an American traditional tune with an american accent NO.

But it would not be right. A bit like Hollywood doing a historical film about Scotland. It would be totally fake. Do you know how many Scottish accents there are? . we do not all sound like that Greenkeeper in the 'Simpsons' or Scotty in 'Startrek'.. All I am saying is that Americans are terrible at Scottish accents possibly as bad as we are at American ones- Sing it nicely with out faking an accent and I bet it will be much better!
You have truth. Its like the japanese that were made they had chinese people playing japanese people...you wanna get it right. You make it sound that everyone sound with a fake accent. We sounded quite beautiful even took it to competition. Which made excellent scores.
Yes I know what you mean, In the UK in the 1950's they used British Actors to play Japanese or Chinese people.. when there were so many good chinese and japanese actors around (like Toshiro mifune etc) . Are you japanese? I have been there many times..

were not even scottish and we have to fake the accents to make it sound right
and we doing in bass alto and suprano part harmony
its really good but this is insulting to me
i heard a universarity do it and they were AMAZING this is poor
