I think this band had the misfortune of looking a little too much like the hair metal bands of that era - big hair and things like that. Musically, i don't really consider them "hair metal" at all - they were blues-rock to me. On the whole, their sound was much closer to The Stones than to Poison or Motley Crue. And Tom Keifer had that voice that was half Brian Johnson and half Janis Joplin that was very unique to me. tis band got pigeonholed, and it's a shame - they made great music.
