@geetargooroo actually, for guitar players, being able to see someone's hands while they play is usually enough. it shows us the chords and the strumming patter: all we need!
@geetargooroo he's showing how to make the fingerings, and the notes required to make the chords. what else do you need? him to put his finger on the frets individually? the tab is right there
you can change that last 5 on the low E string to an open on the a string. it makes for much less fret hand finger movement and makes the song a LOT easier.
Hard song to learn. This is a good lesson for those of us with relative pitch, who want a quick idea of how to form the chords and follow the rythm of the song.
@uranumty Palm mute, or chuck or any of the other names it has. Basically you just stop the strings with either a free finger on the fret board or your palm on your strumming hand.
That 2nd chord has always been a bitch for me to finger. Thankfully though with practice, I nailed it ;). This and Pardon me acoustic has some funky chords. I think Mike Einzinger in general hates playing chords a normal way, he always likes to voice them differently :D
This is very good. However, I think the second beat of the first bar is a half note followed by two sixteenths instead of a dotted eighth followed by a sixteenth.
why is this song so HARD to play....

Workarounds for some positions, given in numbers XY (X=# string, Y=# fret)
2nd position: 42, 30, 23, 12
3rd position: 30, 20, 10
last position: 50, 45, 34, 20, 10
