  • Bleib bei uns, denn es will Abend werden, und der Tag hat sich geneiget

  • Beautiful music, and a beautiful pic of Notre-Dame in Montreal, Quebec. I sang this cantata while in college. Also lived in Montreal for 11 years, so a lot of memories here! Thank you!!

  • Does anybody own a "Complete Works" of Bach? I have to admit, for unbeatable price of around $150, it was 1 of the BEST "investments" I have ever made! My Bach "box set" has around 150 CD's containing, every piece he ever created! Figure, say you buy 10-20 assorted Bach CD's @ an average price of $5-$15 per, get the idea? & you get occasional repeats of songs (especially with "greatest/most beautiful/best of" CD's), & in the end, you wouldn't have even a fraction of ALL his work.

  • @gjc82071 have it too, best buy!

  • @legofeet LOL...me too (got it @ Best Buy) & the Mozart CW (Complete Works), but ordered the Beethoven CW off of Amazon. I wish there were more CWs for other composers. I got a Handel box set "The Masterworks", but is not a CW. Only like 20 CDs. Also have a box set with 1 CD for each of the 10 most famous composers, called "Classical Masters". Vivaldi, Chopin, Strauss, Verdi, Brahms, Schubert, Tchaikovsky & or course Bach/Beet/Moz. It's a really great set. I LOVE Classical! (& great Jazz)

  • @gjc82071 how is the mozart cw? i currently only have js.bach and lv beethoven cw. both really great! also interested in chopin. classical and jazz is good choice mate, i dont care about music style boundaries, and strongly appreciate musicians who doesnt care either

btw. for atheists as me, bach is a tough temptation not to believe in god

  • @legofeet Not to be cocky, but what do you mean "how is it"? I mean...it's "Mozart". Or do you mean sound/musician quality? If that's what you mean, then it's comparable to the Bach/Beethoven CWs. About the only thing I don't like are the female singers on The Marriage of Figaro "Sull'aria" (Shawshank Redemption version is my favorite) and Laudate Dominum K.339. They have just a bit too much pitch variation in their vibrato, for my personal taste. Other than that, it's an excellent CW! :-)

  • @gjc82071 haha of course mozart's music has proven itself by being relevant after centuries of centuries. :) i will check it out, thanks for recommendation!

  • indeed! thank you

  • booklet says Wiener Sangerknaben - Chorus Viennensis

  • @aefive Aaah, accidentally down-voted you... what's up with this... why can I not undo a vote YouTube? *sigh*

  • is this the recording by the vienna boys choir?
