  • This is still one of the funniest films ever.

  • co-written by Richard Pryor. he was supposed to play black bart but the producers were reluctant over his volative nature. I read Mel offered Gene Wilder's role to John Wayne who laughed and turned it down for obvious reasons. He did say he would be first in line to see it. The role eventually went to Gig Young but he was too drunk after a week of shooting and was replaced by Wilder.

  • You spent most of the review on the race issue and not the core of the film. Brooks didn't make this as some sort of social commentary piece either.

  • too slow

  • harvey is really great in this film as is everyone involved, thanks for sharing this video, cheers

  • Hey where da white women at?

    I like rape.

    It's true.

So many funny lines in this movie. I have not seen this in years and when it came out I was younger than Rodney Allen Rippy. That was the black kid in the clip with the indians.

  • 00:26 ZOMG It's Willie Wonka!!

  • "Gabby Johnson says the sheriff's is near"

  • One of the funniest movies of all time!

  • Funny that Mr. Scott liked this film, yet hated the recent "Black Dynamite", which is on the same level of humor.

  • we dont need no stinkin badges

  • Put a black man in charge, and some people just go nuts.

    Amen to that.
