Got the Wartburg 353W-900 Tourist, a Ferrari red beauty with curtains on the back window. Never opened the engine hood the whole time that I had it. Costed me 3000 FIM back then (about 500 €, sold it to a Russian ship after three years for 500 FIM (about 85 €). Worked like a devil in -35°C...Best bargain ever....
I owned one from new in England where it was called The Wartburg Knight - Good car - Beautifully made - It actually had a three cylinder, two stroke engine. Miss that car.

It was two names for this car - first - Wartburg 1000 and second - Wartburg 353
