  • Wow, that was really well done. So true. Nice job.

  • I am a special ed attorney and former special education teacher and administrator. This is so well done! It had to be done by someone with a lot of internal knowledge of "the system". Love it, thanks for sharing.

  • I have known school districts like this regarding my CAPD son.

  • Check Out West Sonoma County Union High School District. Keller McDonald superintendent, who is some dude from Kentucky, is such an IDIOT. The IEP’s have no goals, measurements, stated disabilities, proper interventions, and § 504 protections are taboo. The Spec. Ed. Students get the shaft.

  • This is WONDERFUL! Anyone who has been to an IEP can relate! I have finally learned not only to take other people with me, but to take a MAN in a SUIT. He can be my handyman or a college track student, it really doesn't matter--all he has to do is sit there taking notes on a legal pad. Sad, isn't it!

  • @smileyredhed what do you mean you bring a lawyer with you or something.

  • @timberland1108 You are allowed to bring anyone you want with you. A lawyer is an expensive option, but really all you need is to balance out the power--so it isn't you against a table full of "professionals"--you are the expert on your child.

  • @molias7 i do not know anyone who has an iep. but when i was in school there was kids who did. who would you suggest to bring?

  • This was AWWWWWEEEEESOOOOOMMMMMEEEEEE

  • very creative.

  • If only the SpEd directors my parents and I deal with actually HAD gone into SpEd to help the kids and were saying 'no' because of the budget. In all truth, they're just evil.

  • Wow! This is very creative. Loved the " I'm sure he didn't mean your class" @ 3:06. In my school district autism is also ignored. My son's teacher read a pamplet on autism and claimed she was trained. She is no longer his teacher. During a child study meeting I asked what standards he was being measured by, "My standard" was the answer. That was when we pulled him from school. Good job!
