  • how come jordan didnt shoot fo the win instead of what's his name?

  • Those flat footed white celtics, as referred to by the below comment, beat all the non flat footed black players. So who was really flat footed. And so what if the bench had as mentioned below in comment "every damn bench player was white" this sounds racist against whites!! No matter how u hate it Jordan still lost even as u put it "to those damn black bench players" Clean up the attitude, I show u this to point out how u sadly express your bitterness

  • the bulls lost this game and the series to the celtics. Celtics also won the championship for the year. Sorry Jordan fans, unfortunately Jordan consistently lost to bird and the celtics.

  • I admit Jordan is a legend but after watching this video, I do not believe this game lives up to it's hype. I have seen the entire game years ago and wasn't enthralled. Not because Chi lost, but Jordan made 1 or 2 threes and only 6 or 7 outside shots, and even those were generally 12-15 footers or closer. He made great slashing cuts and blew by Celtics that's all. This to me may not even be in Jordan's top 10 games ever. Rated so high because it was a Celtic playoff game in Boston in and 3 OT's.

  • @1RonBurgundy1 i guess it was a big deal coz during that time it was hard or maybe impossible for a rookie team like chicago bulls to win against a veteran team, i mean in a way it would be similar if charlotte bobcats win against the miami heat right now and one of the bobcat player scoring half the overall score, like im not underestimating the bobcats, but im just comparing it in a similar way i guess. but u got a point though

  • @TheFailShooter You are right about the Bulls at the time overcoming a dynasty-type team in the Celtics. Kinda weird in this game because you have Bird and those flat-footed white Celtics (even every damn bench player was white) against the quick high-flying Jordan who no one knew. Jordan in this game also made about 20 free throws which hurts the greatness of this game. He had like five 60 point games or so in his career, but still. Although 63 points is still an accomplishment.

  • is that a wig|???? commentator

  • HE SCORED 23 POINTS in the fourth alone!?!?

    DAMNNNNNN

  • They won by the skin of their teeth.

  • Who scores 63 points in a playoff game and still loses that game only MJ most overrated player in history

  • @aftermarketstereo Do you think he wasn't the best ever, or just that he's overrated?

  • @aftermarketstereo do you really understand how good the celtics were during the 80s? Most overrated play goes to lebron. The rings don't lie.

  • @aftermarketstereo his team sucked, it took him 63 points for them to get to the point they were. You must know nothing about basketball

  • This is way more of a better performance than 80pts vs the Raptors, and I'm a Kobe fan as well lol

  • my left ear enjoyed this video.

  • "jordan trying to fake bird can't do it, makes the jumper" i'd say thats a good enough fake to prevent birds defense from getting in his way.

  • yes

  • im basketball n00b, does michael jordan scored alone 63 points in a single game?

  • The C's won 135-131 Jordan made 19 of 21 shots in that game. Did kobe ever make 19 of 21 shots against 1 of the best defenses in a playoff game? Kobe is not as good as Jordan. The 63 points in an overtime loss still stands as the All-Time NBA Playoffs Record. Jordan averaged 43.7 points per game in the series, but was unable to prevent the Bulls from being swept by a more experienced, more talented C's team considered by many among the greatest of all-time. That C's team was 1 of the best ever.

  • @geocgeo yeah thats funny that jordan lost. and that the celtics allowed 103 ppg that year so that just shows that if they were the best team defence wasnt very smart back then was it. dont try to trash kobe for no reason just to make jordan look better. thats pretty pathetic. everyone knows he is the greatest alltime. you dont have to trash one of the greatest to make the point

  • @staininirvana You don't have a clue the game was called different in the 80's the refs let them play not like the NBA of today where the refs call a foul if a player just touches another player especially KoBITCH...

"the best team defence wasnt very smart back then "

The rules have changed you idiot..

    ROFLMAO

  • @geocgeo yeah kobitch hahahaha your a retard. remember michael jordan didnt win shit back then neither loser. i bet all you do is jerk off to his space jam posters and cry everytime kobe wins a championship.

  • @staininirvana Wow, nice comeback KID. One thing, that every Kobe lover hates to hear is: No matter how hard Kobe try, he will never be as good as Michael Jordan were. And the @geocgeo is correct, the game TRULY has changed. In the video i saw several fouls, including several points that should have been called "Offensive Basket Interference". So yeah.

  • @kebabonline one thing jordan lovers dont like to hear is someone compared to him. to say kobe cant even be compared is like saying magic bird or kareem cant be compared. kobe can be compared. will he ever be considered? probably not but kobe is a top ten or even top five player alltime. just by looking at his accolades and his body of work he is, especially in an era where the best competition was at shot guard. he isnt better than jodan but he can be considered better the other greats

  • @staininirvana Kobe's reminiscent of Jordan in certain ways, so his name will always come up. But even Kobe knows there's a significant gap between the two & needless to say Jordan's the one on top.

  • @18brandon92 when it comes to accolades yes. but when it comes to skills no. there are things jordan does better than kobe and there are things kobe does better than jordan. jordan played more inside and kobe played more outside. they are arguably the two most skilled nba players alltime. so career wise jordan is the best alltimee. one on one its a toss up

  • @staininirvana Jordan was a more effective player on the court; that's the bottom line. Kobe not only scored less, but has a significantly lower fg %. Michael was defensively dominant while Kobe picks his spots. Mike got to the free throw line. Mike was more clutch. Yes, Kobe was a better one-on-one percentage, but Mike impacted the game in more ways and more consistently than Kobe. There's more to basketball than one-on-one offense. That's why Mike has 6 rings & the MVP in all of them.

  • Comment removed

  • @staininirvana Just because Kobe can shoot from anywhere doesnt make him as effective. Kobe's a shooter; Mike & Wade are scorers. Playing in the post and around the rim is more helpful for your team; it's easier to rebound, it has a higher chance of going in, and you get to the line more--all plus's. Kobe is an outstanding offensive weapon on his team. Mike & Wade carry theirs . Well at least until LeBron fucked up the Heat's chemistry, Plus Mike & Wade have better all-around games.

  • @18brandon92 you just said wade has a better all around game? you lost me there. and kobe doesnt carry his team? im not sure if you know who kobe bryant is but he carried his team to 3 championships. 09 10 and 01. do you even watch basketball to say wade was better than kobe? the only reason wade even has a champonship is the 16 freethrows he got a game in those wins.

  • @staininirvana I respect your opinion but don't question my intelligence. Wade has a better overall game than Kobe, meaning he affects the game in more ways than Kobe. Kobe in at least the past two Finals seldom carried his team & when they lost to the Pistons, he shot them out of the playoffs. He almost shot them out of game 7, but other players stepped up. Wade & Mike carried their teams during their championship years & the rigged ring for Wade is irrelevant bc the lakers would've lost in '02

  • @18brandon92 how does wade who only has 2 moves shoot or drive to the basket have a better overall game then kobe who creates his shots better than anyone in the history of the game and can get to where he wants against whoever he wants. and yeah he took his team to the finals in 01. shaq destroyed the sixers but kobe destroyed the kings, spurs, the blazers for 32ppg 8 rpg and 8apg. when has wade done anything close to that. has wade even played 80 in a year yet. he doesnt even play thru pain

  • @staininirvana Wade is a scorer, has creativity around the basket & gets to the line. Kobe is a shooter & a less efficient scorer at that. Wade being clutch is his blocks, his steals, his boards, & his shots. Kobe is a hit-or-miss & people ignore all the misses for some reason. the '01 Finals was a joke. the Spurs had more rings than Kobe before Kobe got Gasol. Kobe did scorch the Blazers/Kings. Wade had an old Shaq & dominated the playoffs, with 28 ppg & 50%, a pct Kobe has never reached. ever,

  • @staininirvana Both obviously needed a big man down low to win the title . However, when Wade was healthy & by himself in '10, he avg'd 33 pts, 6 rebounds, & 7 assists while shooting 56 PERCENT . Sound Jordan-esque to you? Throw any Kobe stat that can compare to that. Wade didnt stay healthy in the front-end of career, & now LeBron is here to take the ball out of his hands so we'll never know what he could have been. But don't underrate him & feed into the Kobe-hype. Btw I'ma Laker fan.

  • @18brandon92 it was 30 5 and 7 and it was 49 % so there you go. i could go with 30 7 and 7, or 28 6 and 5 or 35 5 and 5 or 31 6 5 or 28 6 and 5. yeah one year doesnt make you better than some one who did it for half a career

  • @staininirvana I was just making two points. That Wade affects the game in more ways than Kobe and that Wade shoots at a more efficient rate, making him more Jordan-esque than Kobe when he takes over a game.. Kobe does that 5-straight made shots with your hand in my face type of thing. Wade doesnt play D so I would take Kobe all day, but it'd be inaccurate to say that Kobe is a better offensive player overall because there are so many ways to score and impact a game. Kobe's had great teammates.

  • @18brandon92 "Wade doesn't play D" seriously? I don't say wade's a better defender than kobe (but can argue about that nowaydays especially with kobe getting old) but he clearly does defend.. he's been one of the best SG defenders over the last couple of years.. 3 all-defensive second team elections, averages ~2 steals a game..

ah yeah and I claim he's probably the best shot blocking little man (at 6"4) ever...

  • @tas0666666 that's why he was ate up last year in the Finals. He has a phenomenal ABILITY to play D, & he'll make great defensive plays here and there. But he doesnt consistenly exercise that skill. 2nd team all D is not impressive in this defensively challenged league anyway.

  • Comment removed

  • @18brandon92 i wouldnt say significant when the field goal percentage that era a little higher. around 46 percent roughly that time and is around 43 now. so jordan was around 49%. and kobes numbers minus those first three years he was benched as a 17 to 20 year old are 28.6ppg 5.7 rpg and 5.1 apg. jordans numbers are 30.1ppg 6.2 rpg and 5.3apg. so significantly better i dont think so. and mike was given the free throw line bud. he didn't get there. and the clutch thing is debatable

  • Comment removed

  • Did the bulls loose that game?

  • @evakeyz yes i think they got sweeped

  • jodan didnt play alone dont you see how many asstist he has

  • Jordan had 13 jumpshots. and people thought he didn't have a mid range early in his career. this was his second season people

  • Bird once called Jordan " god in disguise". And he knew at that point Jordan was the future of the NBA.

  • and people called Kobe a ball hog. :)

  • @IZZYRULEZ

Jordan was in the same situation as Kobe, he played alone =) In fact, he was a 1st round virgin untill Pippen enter the team.

  • So clutch with those 3 free throws at the end of regulation WOW

  • I watch this entire game, excited one and a great performance indeed.

You can say that this record will never be broken... why? Because the game was played in such a fast pace, Jordan facing D.J and Ainge both undersize and absolutely no match for MJ speed and quickness, no double team, double OT, etc.

Everything worked to favor Jordan... this guy was touched by God, if he do not make that bullshit of retiring to play Baseball, his career would be even more "perfect".

  • Dick Stockton: "no one has ever scored more points in a single playoff game in nba history than michael jordan"

well said Dick... oh you forgot to mention he was only 23 years old.

  • this dude on facebook said lebron better then jordan i started laughing

  • jordan defo the goat 63 points against a very very very strong celtics team as a rookie

  • @YoungTrapztar i thought it was his sophmore year?

  • @YoungTrapztar but this is also the game that made jordan realize he can't do it all alone. MJ went on to develop a great passing game, a great team defense game, and various other team intangibles that led to the Bulls dynasty of the 90s.

IMO had the bulls won this game, MJ probably would have ended up like Kobe. Since they lost, we ended up with the GOAT.

  • @jyashin nope! what helped jordan win his rings was that the hall of famers of the 80s got old cuz in their prime they did nothing but beat jordan and his teams bird thomas can say they eliminated jordan in his prime something jordan cant say to them

  • @5042024 They did not beat Jordan in his prime. This game (1986) occurred two seasons after jordan got drafted. Jordan was 24 at the time. He was not in his prime.

The point of my post agrees with your second point - the pistons (and the celtics once) managed to oust Jordan's teams. Not once, even when they won, did they dominate jordan. Dumars himself, as well as his teammates, knew Jordan was going to light them up. They were just concerned with holding everybody else down to get the win.

  • @jyashin but he lost all the way up to 91 and by then bird magic thomas etc were beyond their prime the injuries they get take alot of their talent away/ and it was only till then that jordan was able to reach the promise land thats all im saying/ dont get me wrong though im a jordan hater but i watched him do things that i know i will never see again/ when it comes to the kobe comparison its not even close jordan all the way but i put magic and bird ahead of him thats my opinion

  • @jyashin 1 more thing when it came to having games when he just made your jaw drop with his moves dunks performances etc hes on top of my list even ahead of magic and his magic on that ill put him 1st/ but as far as basketball iQ the will to win etc well hey somehow bird manage to beat him cuz at the end of the day its who wins that takes the nod/ we will never have another jordan he is one of a kind

  • @5042024 this game was in 86. what do you mean? u must be old or larry bird

  • @slimdogg3325 but what about 87 through 90 the same teams still manage to beat him and his teams/ thats all im saying how could he be the greatest of all time when there was teams that had his number/ like i said it was till they got old that jordan was able to win/ by the way magic at 19 or 20 yrs old helped the lakers win the tittle remember his finals game when he played center AS A ROOKIE and dominated the game and clinched the tittle 4 the lakers AT 19YRS OLD

  • @5042024 obviously great players get better with time. i dont even understand what the argument is anymore but 87-90 bulls were terrible. cant blame jordan for that. and he was better than magic then too

  • @slimdogg3325 thats my point how can anyone say any player was the best/ better than everybody else how can people compare a sg with say a center its imposible but jordan fans seem to have no trouble saying hes the best of all time/ thats why i bring up the fact that he never beat the east to get to the finals in the 80s when in my opinion bball was better the celtics pistons etc owned the bulls again only till they got old were the bulls ready to shine/ not a bulls fan but respect what they did

  • @5042024 ok. now understand y i think jordan is the best. 1st hes a kid here and completely owns bird and the celtics. 2nd he did this all the time until he retired the 1st time then came back and reinvented his game. him not beating the east had nothing to do with jordans skills and everthing to do with better teams in the east. we are talking about 1 mans domination on the court i thought

  • Comment removed

  • people shouldn't compare people who were "great" in their current era/period because that's just wrong and ridiculous. don't go off comparing Kobe Bryant to someone in the past because the past is the past, if Kobe lived at MJ's time i wouldn't think he'd be greater than MJ, because he wouldn't be "Kobe Bryant" if it weren't for MJ's great basketball skills before. many great basketball players now got to where they are because of the drive to become like Mike or even better than him!

  • 63 pts vs the 80s celtics in the playoffs(comming off an injury)

    or

81 pts against the defenseless raptors?

    whats more important?

    Class dissmissed.

  • @BlaZiiNxIIxGuNn3R hmmmm 81>63 last time I was in math class. Maybe you should check yourself back into class buddy, cuz it looks like your basketball i.q is strugglin LOL faggot

  • @balla4life215 learn about basketball kid, The 80s celtics was one of the greatest teams to ever been assembled, and MJ droped 63 on them... in the playoffs comming off an injury. yeah those 63 pts mean more than kobe's 81 in the regular season against a shitty raptors team.

  • @BlaZiiNxIIxGuNn3R Wait, so 63>81 now?? Oh okay I get it.....LOL you fucking retard. For someone who keeps calling others a kid, you sure have no bball iq and some pretty bad conceptual math skills hahaha quit jockin mj so hard and bow down before kobe...and me bitch

  • @balla4life215 it was against a different team in a different era. he dropped 81 against the raptors in a regular season game. im not saying bird was better than kobe but that has nothing to do with it.

  • @balla4life215 Kobe actually only has around 35% fg pct in the late game situations. You're an idiot if you think Kobe is more clutch than Larry Bird.

  • @balla4life215 Bird > kobe 24/7. its sad not much people give bird the credit he deserves. but hes a more complete player than what prime kobe could ever hope of being. plus hes more clutch and efficient, dont argue with me kid ill put you to shame :) lol

  • @BlaZiiNxIIxGuNn3R bahahah i almost died when i read this, i've seen some stupid shit, but this might top it all. Bird better than kobe?? At what?! LOL let's see: Titles kobe - 5 bird - 3 nba 1st teams kobe - 9 (2 2nd teams) bird - 9 (1 2nd team) nba defensive 1st teams kobe - 9 bird - 0 Kobe is a better scorer/defender/winner AND Bird won all his championships with 3 HOF, while kobe won 3 with one other HOF and 2 with no others. Now that you've been taken to school, please GTFO. PWNED!!
  • @balla4life215 read what you hv just written and realize how dumb you ask, ask any basketball historian whos the better shooter, whos most clutch and whos the more complete player between bird and kobe. youll be surprised.. like i said, learn your shit bro. your too young to know about old school basketball, you dont even know what the 80, 90's era os basketball was, so do me a favor kid and do some research before you sound so stupid.

  • @BlaZiiNxIIxGuNn3R "realize how dumb you ask" What the fuck are you even saying?!? looks like basketball knowledge isn't the only thing you're lacking, u should also work on forming coherent sentences LOL your entire "argument" is to ask basketball historians and then you tell me to research while you give no facts/evidence that bird is better and ignore EVERYTHING I said. Is this your idea of putting me to shame?? hahahaha You are pathetic kid.

    Now bow before me bitch!!

  • @BlaZiiNxIIxGuNn3R I do agree that the 80s basketball are more competitive

  • 1 overtime shoulda never happened bullshit foul

  • nice shot at the end woolridge, way to go to the hot hand

  • he was high on this day so he said fuck ima score high

  • 63 points and you lose, damn, looked like Lebron in Cleveland.

  • woolridge you retard why didn't you pass it to jordan!!!!....moron -_-

  • Comment removed

  • how come on every single michael jordan video the top rated comment are about kobe bryant?

  • look at the clock lol

  • that basket look like its 9 ft compare to today 10 ft

  • Best afta seein this & he broke his foot this season & missed almost all of the season. & jordan just was bussin they ass. he the best yo

  • i thought they won this game

  • That Celtics team was damn good. 3 Hall of Famers, and 7 other players who at one point became all stars. Crazy team.

  • i dont know how he got fouled at 0 time....the ref must have been his uncle

  • Lol without the refs the celtics dont win in 09 man. The refs are part of the game stop using them as a excuse to why teams win

  • Kobe is great!! You dont know basketball if you think he isnt.

  • The Arrival.

  • A team of mostly white players, you just don't see that anymore

  • gasol is soft..nba in this era is soft too

  • This game seems like the bigger older kid is playing with the younger weaker kids on the block. I mean he's just gliding thru 3 and 4 defenders at will. Greatest of all time...hands down...

  • the 80's and 90's were the best decades of nba basketball! so many great players. im sad i never lived in that time to see those players

  • did u record this shit with a -insert instrument-?!

  • 63 points against one of the greatest NBA teams ever assembled, and the man STILL ends the game with six assists.

  • Absolute insanity. The guy fakes mid-air, for crying out loud. He faked over 86 Larry Bird. Jordan is indisputably the best player to ever pick up the ball.

  • @Pabbicus That's a bit of a thoughtess statement. Bird, Russell, Kareem and Magic all have legitimate claims as the g.o.a.t. as well as MJ.

  • TRUE GREATNESS shown here. The '86 Celtics are considered one of the greatest teams of all time and he just destroyed them.

  • what always amazed me was that the bulls still lost that game

  • ainge got fucked by jordan at the celtics, then he went to cavs and got fucked again by jordan, then the suns in the 93 finals fucked by jordan again.

  • @lobelia2 You stupid fuck Ainge never played for the Cavs. Nobody could stop Jordan who had games where he scored OVER 40 Points AT AGE FORTY!. You're a fucking dummy.

    Search YouTube for..

Michael Jordan 2003: NBA Record 43pts at age 40

  • kobe the greatest get ur swhit straight...

  • @24graderthan23 : kobe has fail miserably in his career...2 rings, 2 finals mvp & 1 league mvp don't put you in "the greatest" category.....& you know what, maybe ONE ring, i think pau carried him against celtics just like shaq carried him in the 3peat.

  • @imsljr420 just as scottie help micheal everyone knows no one can do by them selves and don't be a fool saying he could do it with out scottie cause the 3yrs going against detriot he fail but over came them.now kobe he is the greatest right now but he can't do it by him self netheir and shaq didn't carry nothing cause shaq could do it with out kobe proof orlando if shaq carried the lakers so much why didn't orland win ships cause he needed someone every great player needs another great player.

  • @NarutofightsHD1 :of course kobe helped but he wasn't the best player on the 1st 3peat shaq was....& actually on the 1st championship kobe only averaged 15 pts on 36% shooting so lakers could've won that one with another guy like eddie jones...of course kobe was big in the next 2 but shaq still dominated more....pippen also helped but never won finals MVP over jordan there fore jordan dominated those series.

  • @NarutofightsHD1 shaq's coach in orlando sucked so did doug collins for chicago...jordan & shaq didn't win until phil became their coach.

  • @imsljr420 but nethier kobe or mike would have won a tittle if it wasn't for another great player on their teams

  • @24graderthan23 Kobe is slow as fuck and weak compared to Jordan. Jordan was a physical freak and had the mental fortitude to win at all costs. Kobe just got fucking swept. Sit down.

  • @pharry4life Jordan is the greatest of all time, bar non, but kobe is not weak compared to him. It may seem like that now, but kobes body physically is past its prime, and hes developed his game further (just like jordan did) to still be among the best. and kobe defs has mental fortitude, the best of his era. Yeh he got swept, but the team failed as a whole, especially there d to be honest.kobe is not better than jordan, but he IS the next best thing.

  • @himhi123 glad someone has a head on there shoulders, sure compare is nowhere near jordan, but he IS the closest, and that is a FACT that can't be argued

  • @himhi123 player*

  • @himhi123 and then kevin durant after kobe puts up the shoes!

  • @himhi123 the next best thing,u mean as in shooting guard?Kobe's great n his game compares to MJs because he adopted every move from MJ,he played in the triangle,he even hired MJs trainer,he talks/walks like MJ.Thats what i compare. But most young ppl have only seen MJs stats n highlights, not the real games and moments. If they aired the 93 Finals,n Kobe's best Finals performance, ppl would say oh this MJ guy is clearly a better.Ppl say Kobe is a better shooter, but he never had a higher shooting%

  • @Zeke4TV Yeh in the sense there the same type of player and the kind of impact they have on the game. With michael or kobe u excpect this level of greatness, these difficult shots, clutch plays, superb performances in big games, and being winners. and as for kobes game, its reminiscent to many former greats, because kobe is a great student of the game, combined with the many parts of his game that r unique to him is what makes him the player he is.Both great players.

  • @himhi123 i don't expect the same level of greatness with Kobe compared to what MJ did.MJ would have never went 6 for 24 in a HUGE Game 7.He would never get blown out by 39 in a Game 6 in the Finals.Or get destroyed by the Pistons in 5 games in the Finals, and play the way Kobe did in that series.MJ would never QUIT in a game like Kobe did against Phoenix and then request to be traded.Kobe's great yes,and he may well be the 2nd greatest SG,but u jus cant talk about them in the same sentence.

  • @himhi123 MJ also didn't take reg seasons off either hence the 72-10 rec.n Bulls always had the best record.Alot of ppl say Kobe is a better scorer,I disagree,10 scoring titles to 2 for KB.And lets no forget Mj left the game for 2 years.5MVPs-should be more for MJ.Kobe does deserves more than 1MVP i believe.I think when ppl compare Kobe to MJ its unfair, cause it takes away from the great things that Kobe has accomplished,I recognize KBs greatness, but Mjs is jus another level of greatness.

  • @Zeke4TV Also as for kobe being gifted 3 rings from shaq please. Shaq called kobe the best player on the planet when they won the third won. Not to mention they wldn't even be there without his performances when shaq was fouled out. The first one not so much, but the other two it was kobe and shaq winning those together. and there's no need to feed me stats here, im not arguing kobe being better, im saying kobe is close to as good as a player. and that 72-10 was a great team, not just MJ.

  • @himhi123 Of course Shaq called him that to make him not feel left out.Shaq knows good n well he was the best player on the planet and the most dominating force in the history of basketball. He was trying to make KB happy cause he didn't like being 2nd fiddle.Shaq's numbers in those 3 straight Finals were remarkable, unbelieveable,Kobe fell victum to being that 2nd guy.But u cant say that KB had jus as much of an impact on those titles as Shaq did.He opened up everything for everybody.38ppg 17rb

  • @Zeke4TV these r not 5 year olds, these r men. ur honestly gunna sit here and tell me u know shaq well enough to know thats wat he meant. anyways the point was that kobe was an elite player at the time, like a pippen to michael, not a moe williams to lebron. Not to mention phil jackson said that kobe was a better shooter and michael a better interior player. What im trying say is those are also deservedly kobes rings as well.

  • @Zeke4TV As for shooting, kobe is a better shooter than jordan. But michaels interior game was better and shooting not to far behind. I think it was phil jackson who said that kobe has more skills than jordan but jordan was gifted with more physical attributes like his huge hands and stronger frame. Ultimatly jordans better but, kobe's not very far behind.

  • @himhi123 Not far behind??your only saying that because Kobe has 5 rings,3 of which he was clearly the 2nd man.No disrespect to Kobe but he's never had a Finals series even remotely close to what MJ did,Kobe's best playoff game isnt even close to MJs best. How many clutch moments does Kobe have in the playoffs /finals compared to MJ?If you had to ask Phil who he'd rather coach,he would not hesitate to say MJ.They jus bring up those comparisons to make it interesting

  • @Zeke4TV Number one, stop acting as if i said kobe was better than jordan, cuz i didnt. Number two, were looking at how they played, and in terms of how they played kobe is not far behind. This goes beyond stats and achievments, this is somthing u see from watching both play, its there skill level. Kobe's is not very far away from being as good as Jordan. Yes jordan is clear cut better, but aspects of kobes game exceed mj like the jumpshot. Not by alot but its true Thats no hit on mj, it jst is

  • @himhi123 If KB has a better jumpshot. Then y is his shooting % at the low 40s when MJs are in the 50's?And don't mention the % in the Finals in which MJs were in the mid 50s,where Kobe has shot 40% multiple times? When u say KB is not very far away, that may be true, but he's not close enough to say he's right behing him.most of the NBA greats know that MJ is a much better player than KB n leader.KB will prolly be top 10.1MJ2Magic3Kareem4Russell5Bird6Oscar7Wilt8Duncan9Kobe10Hakeem.

  • @Zeke4TV Bud, where talking about shooting ability in terms of there jumpshot. Shooting % includes every shot they take, and where talkin specifically about there jumpshot. Ray allen is the arguablly the greatest shooter of all time, and his career avredge is 45%, and has never shot 50% or higher. DW12 avredees 58% over career, so is he know a better shooter than allen? % is not an argument. Kobe is a better shooter, that dosen't make him a better player, but he is a better shooter. Phil agrees.

  • @Zeke4TV and finally, this argument is ending now. MJ is clear cut the best player to ever play, and kobe bryant is the next best thing in terms of another michael jordanesq player. He is considered by magic himself the best laker ever and there for better than him, which by ur list means #2. I think hes more like 6 or 5, but w/e. Kobe has earned the right to be mentioned in the same sentence as MJ, hes not better than him but he is a great, and dont down play that.

  • @24graderthan23 get your spelling right first. wtf, grader? that's not even a real word.

  • hhahaha i love before HE WAS A LEGEND THEY WERE COMPARING MICHAEL TO OTHER PLAYERS!!! HAHAHA now he stands alone as the greatest that will EVER play..... no comparisons again.

  • i wonder if everyone whatching Jordan during this game new that he was gna become the greatest basketball play of all time

  • it is real smiple it is Jordan's will to win! period!

  • Shooting = Michael Jordan

    Passing = Lebron James

    Quickness= michael jordan

    Strength= Lebron James

    Championships= To be Determined

  • @MrSolokidCudiDolo Just STFU and never compare Lebron to Jordan again...just never comment on a Jordan vid again until you gain some common sense. jeez.

  • @30centz calm down buddy

  • @MrSolokidCudiDolo loool I was pretty calm when I wrote that.

  • @MrSolokidCudiDolo finesse = Jordan, Will to win= Jordan, Offensive Creativity= Jordan, Best Ever= Jordan.

  • @Silverpatrone15 i never said lebron was better than MJ so slow your roll i was just pointing out some advantages they had over each other

  • Michael had the best footwork back then. His athleticism was complimented with his great footwork. Jordan would make you silly.

  • im done with u MJclowns, fooled by athleticism... IDIOTS.

  • Imagine Michael on the bulls with Rose dishing him some tasty passes. hot damn the rest of the team could just take a seat

  • i guess lebron is better than jordan if u wanna base it on stats .points, reb, and assistts lebron destroys jornot...

  • @24graderthan23 destroys? You do know Mike's career point average is over 30, not to mention he has held, or still holds, a wide variety of every single record for season/playoff games, plus Michael has a ring or two.. or three... or, well you get my point and Lebron has no jewelry to compare with that. So even basing the comparison on stats Lebron cannot come close to Jordan, but very few can. Don't get me wrong I think James is easily one of the best to play the game, but its MJ

  • @24graderthan23 Points???????????????? What the fuck are you smoking?? Jordan is stats king.

  • @24graderthan23 Lebron a better player than Kobe since he consistently outscores, rebounds, assists, shoots better, and wins a majority of their games?........

  • @24graderthan23 I can't convince you through logic, so I guess I will just leave it at that. By your logic, you bring up a couple of games where Kobe outscored Jordan, so by that logic, isn't

  • and to all u mj dickriders who like to brag about his clutchness, how clutch is a gamewinner when u have overtime to rely on...lol look at the stats and all of his gamewinners come from a tied game..no pressure at all...

  • Greatest team of all time why???????????????? Because that shit is all hype. Show me the handcheck or hard fouls at the rim please..YOU OLD FARTS SAY THE GAME WAS MORE PHYSICAL BACK THEN BUT ONLY REPLAY THE SAME KURT RAMBIS FAMMOUS FOUL OVER AND OVER AGAIN CMON GET REAL MAN. MAN U CANT SERIOUSLY WATCH THIS GAME AND SAY THESE ARE BASKETBALL PLAYEERS.PLEASE CHANGE UR MINDS PEOPLE....

  • @24graderthan23 Define what you mean by "physical."

  • @MIKESOWELL physical as in show me the handchecking that u old people like to refer to.because u were unaathletic enough to guard someone the correct way.. if u know anything about basketbal l u would know u guard with your feet not ur hands so show me jordan getting mobbed everytime to the rack...you cant because it was all hype to protect the legacies of the old tymers man.cmon son...reply to ,e son anybody....lets go..youll cant touch the cold blooded reptilian.

  • @24graderthan23 LOL!!!! Man you are not worth my time Kobetard. Let ESPN keep lying to you about this weak ass era. And that is not handchecking, by the way. By the way your "greatest" is one game away from going home for the year. You cannot even touch a player nowadays lol.

  • @24graderthan23 If you want to see handchecking, and real defense, look at the Miami New York series from 1997.

  • @MIKESOWELL u mean espn the michael jordan network?Hey i think they are changing the name to mjpn very soon son. Dont compare kobe to jordan.check the facts YOUre so called mj was too pussy to guard a 19 year old kid and kobe dropped 33 on his overrated asss. and sent MJ away with 55 ,why didnt Mj guard kobe, DOESNT MJ HAVE A VERY GOOD COMPETTTIVE FIRE LOL? TOO PUSSY TO GET IN THE MAMBAS WAY,WASNT THSI WIOTH HANDCHECKING STILL EFFECTIVE IN 98 AND 03?GET IT RIGHT U OLD GEESER..

  • @24graderthan23 First of all, Jerry Stackhouse was mostly guarding Kobe in that 55 pt. game. Second of all, that particular game when Kobe had 33 came in a blowout win for the Bulls back in '97. Kobe got the majority of those 33 against the second unit. How old were you when that game happened anyway? Five, six???LOL!!! You are over matched, kid, give it up. And you have the nerve to call ESPN the Michael Jordan network??? Everyday I hear stupid shit like "Kobe's 17 powers Lakers to win" LOL!!!!

  • @24graderthan23 Who couldn't get stats in Jordan's era?? You serious? The greatest players to ever grace the court played alongside or against Michael at one time. Be it Barkely, Malone, Ewing, Bird, Magic, Stockton, Rodman, Pippen, Not to mention the legendary coaches of the 80's-90's. The Olympic dream team was called so for a reason look at who was on it, The combined East/West all star team from this year wouldnt stand a chance against those players in their prime.

  • @espChris93 sit down idiot.leboron destroys jordan in rebounds and assists, and is more athletic, stronger ,cmon man.

  • @24graderthan23 Good defense you call me an idiot and throw around stats, anyone with a sliver of basketball knowledge, or knowledge of any sport knows stats mean next to nothing. Take a below average player and put him on a shitty team and he'll rack up stats because he's the only one touching the ball. I never said Lebron wasnt good but we're talking about Michael fucking Jordan, I mean watch this video! Put overrated James against McHale, Bird, Parrish, Walton, Ainge, Johnson the list goes on

  • @24graderthan23 u crazy dude. When will people learn that jordan is the freakin greatest

  • @24graderthan23 Lebron destroys Jordan? Hahahahahaha. Lebron is great, but he's not clutich. You sound like a kid that hasn't watched basketball too long. It's obvious that you never saw Jordan play. You had to be there. I've seen Jordan and Kobe/Lebron play in their primes. Jordan is better and it's not meant to be a bash to Lebron or Kobe. MJ was just that damn good. Even his haters back then will tell you this TODAY.

  • @jkwiq Meant to say, "Lebron is great, but he's not clutch like Jordan". I don't anyone has ever been that consistently clutch in NBA history like Jordan. Not from what I've ever seen.

  • @jkwiq Totally agree with you here but LeBron is starting to take over games himself lately vs both the Celtics and twice against the Bulls. In my opinion LeBron is the only active player who has any chance of coming close to what Jordan accomplished but because Jordan set that bar so high I would have to say that LeBron will come up short but I do predict LeBron to be a top 3 player all time by the time his career is done.

  • @dusttaker With the way Lebron is playing right now, I can't disagree with you on him making the 3rd best ever list down the road if he keeps it up.

  • @dusttaker he started to take over games and then... well, he just stopped right after that. looking at this sophomore year MJ that had his foot broken for most of the season to come to the playoffs and take the game the way he did, there is no way to me, to think that Lebron will come up short, so far he is getting further and further from that.

  • @iNONSENSE lebron james maxed out as a basketball player 2 years ago in 2009
