  • @mattread1000 Evacuation is easier than search and rescue.

  • How brilliant nuclear radiation raining down on their heads now a slow and painful death :(?

  • wish there was something like that in COD

  • yeah cause destroing a nuclear missile with cinetic energy will save us from the explosion...

    (mother of god)

  • @danielcunha20

    Are you retarded?

  • @danielcunha20 it would actually.. nukes arent armed until they are making final approach

  • @danielcunha20 Nukes aren't full armed until they make their final approach. Meaning a Nuclear ICBM wouldn't be fully armed till just after re-entry.

  • @overunitydotcom You think people are rational and peaceful? What planet are you on? Ohh...BTW....that little thing called a computer you are typing on.....wouldn't be possible if so much money wasn't wasted on such bullshit weapons.

  • Why does it spiral when it launches?

  • @williamk766 For luck...

  • @333666666 -___- there has to be a better explanation, like momentum or something like that.

  • @williamk766 The US Military likes their Secrets...so Kinetic Vehicle is all you'll get.

  • dear santa...

  • Whats with the advert?? This is YouTuybe!

  • Question: Why do interceptors rely on kinetic intercept rather than a proximity-detonated explosion? (the same thing goes for the missile defense "kill vehicle" based in Fort Greely, Alaska.)

Isn't it much, much harder to accurate hit a target head-on with a collision, than it is to simply detonate a warhead in the vicinity of the target instead?

  • @RedFoxAce

Interceptors use kinetic energy because a concussion explosion in vacuum (space) doesn't do much, and a radiant explosion has to be very close to be effective anyway.

  • @333666666 Ah, gotcha - no air waves in space, and therefore not many shock-waves from fluid effects either. Thanks!

  • @RedFoxAce Star Wars-type battles will never be. Energy beams and even galactic fleets of star ships are totally impractical as effective weapons - the math works out wrong in so many ways.

  • "High-velocity hammer blow"

Can I use THAAD to cut my spareribs?

  • destroy the misslie of the enemy, but dosent save 100%

  • It is not fast enough for rs-24 . And if is a head on impact or a precision hit it may fail to hit cause of the countermeasures and evasion maneuvres .

  • patriot was a total failure . THAAD is a more developed program but still USA is behind in air defense system .

  • New Vegas needs these

  • 3:00 more importantly.. will it blend? :O

  • oki this sound good and all but how about if them have a missile with 10 smaller warheads in it? Before impact it will realese the 10 carpet bombs that still would hit? If it dosn't exist I'm sure russia made it when them watched this clip :P Personaly I think it's it better to send alot of smaller missiles and let them blow up close to the target in the air it sure sound better then just having to hope that only one big clump will do the job but yeah I'm just sayin...

  • @thesoftish Rocket science isn't exactly that easy, bro. Or that simple.

  • @thesoftish OMG u rly suppose th grown-ups didn't think of that already? 10 smaller shizzles r called MIRVs, lol. Aegis missiles r all about that, dude! WTF rocket science! U r fail. ;)

  • Dear Santa

  • Missile:"Oh wait what the fuck am i doing? Ok ya gotcha, up that's right"

  • FUCK the PUBLICITY

  • is that an interceptor missile "?

  • Oh look, we now have a functional missile defense system

  • Actually the patriot only missed one scud missile because of a timing glitch, the rest were fairl successful

  • @spudicous Are you completely nuts. When Iraq fired scud missiles at Israel, America overtly admitted that the patriots were 0.00% successfuly. The news reels were screaming about how successful patriots were but they were nowhere near the target.

  • @spudicous ya i think though where the pac 1 missiles, we're on on pac 4 now.

  • Comment removed

  • why does it swirl at the beggining?

  • 0:02 and why would you want to protect new jersey?

  • @Folgrin You do realize that one of the biggest oil refineries on the East Coast is in New Jersey right?

  • @Folgrin *hands about chest height palms facing each other* ''ALIENS''

  • @Folgrin because SNOOKI lives there.....

  • @Folgrin Because I live there?

  • the whole point of watching stuff on the internet was to escape the ads, stupid youtube

  • I love boobs <3

  • Lol love reading these arguments!!!!! XD

  • Power is always wonderful as long as your not the one under it. War is easy as long as you don't lose. Life is good, as long as your not the one unable to afford it. The truth is hidden behind the ones who do not live it. The true power is not pulling a trigger. It is an agreement to a long term of friendship. War just leads to sleepless nights. Do to no one watching your back.

  • @VNet2010 War is needed for peace. Would there be a suck thing as happiness without sadness? Think about it for a few days.

  • lol, enemies now have to put glares in their ballistic missiles

  • Why wasn't this system used when a Chinese sub fired a missile off the coast of california. They were testing our missile defense system at the time. The US government still hasn't come clean about the incident....just like Chinese submarines sneaking up on our US carriers...

  • @finlandiabeach But why would we let the Chinese know our capabilities by using our defenses prematurely? That would be playing into their hands.

  • s400/500

  • Would be perfect for Israel against Iranian Shabab 3.

  • @sangolt88 Would it be more successful than Patriot, which didn't shoot down any obsolete Iraqui Scud3 missile ? :)

  • @teknobug Maybe. But then again Iranian missiles are a bit more advanced than the Scuds.

  • @sangolt88 actually israel use something similiar to this. its called "kipat magen" [im not sure how its called in english] . its basiclly shoot rockets that get fired from gaza in mid air and protects the main cities that suffer from rocketing.theres is one placed about 1 mile [1.5 km] from my house and i have a friend that recorded it in actoin agianst real rockets that get launched from gaza.

  • It needs to counter any kind of missile with just kinetic energy.

    It does just THAAD.

  • i dont know,but i think mayde s400 is better ?

  • fucking stupid shit weapons, help the hungry

  • @TorryChenChelsea They are, they are making sure the hungry don't get blown up.

  • 30 years after the Russians, and even now the Americans don`t have a system which can really deal with ICBMs. Nothing comes close to S-400, not even to S-300PMU.

Not to mention the Laser program from the 80s.

  • @Auser001

Nothing comes close to the S-400? Really? The RIM-161 has a longer range.

The patriot is almost as fast but with many other technological advantages. And remember, we use 3 stages of missile defense. Russia doesn't.

Only a small portion of the s-400's use the 4096 missile, which means all of the other missiles are slower AND have less of a range than the rim-162

PS russia has only 48 s-400's, so it isn't nearly as practical.

Keep in mind the U.S. has over 1,000 patriot systems

  • @vigorousAtheist

RIM-161 is newer than S-400 and the Russians usually disclose their technologies in a later stage than the US does.

The 20% range advantage is not the issue in this field. The most important thing is the speed it can reach, as faster means it can intercept longer range missiles.

    M-161 is Mach 8+ while S-400 40N6 is 12 Mach !!

It also means that it has a better chance to hit.

S-500 is expected to be Mach 20+ !! and 600km

Until then maybe the RIM-161 would be fully operational.

  • @vigorousAtheist

It`s also naval based and it is much easier to sink a ship than destroy well hidden and defended launching sites.

The patriot has 3 times less range than S-400 (such a difference is a more important) and it`s way much slower. It has failed to Defend US allies during 1991 conflict from primitive 1960s Scuds.

I didn`t mention deployment quantity as Russia is not in race in deployment and influence against the US, but it is in technology and in missile tech it greatly prevails.

  • Too bad this missile will be designed by imported Chinese and Indian engineers.

Because American kids are too busy playing football.

  • @FLICKtheUSA

THAAD was started before you were born, silly. And no Chinese or Indians were harmed in testing.

  • You all seem to forget, the country which MANUFACTURED the Plutonic (Nuclear) bomb, England!

  • @OneShotProjects And Benny Hill, too!

  • Even if you kill a missile carrying a chemical weapon payload, wouldn't that crap still spill out all over a wide area? And since you're shooting it down on its "terminal" approach vector....

  • @delta5297 I guess the most part burns up in the initial explosion

  • could that guy act any more homosexual...

  • Its been developed for one reason only,to light the cigars of Chuck Norris

  • i like cevapcici

  • The amount of knowledge you faggots don't have between your ears is impressive.

  • Nukelur ???

  • ohh. kinetic energy. they make it sound really exotic

  • So basically a SAM turret

  • @TheHALFcourtSHOOTER But for Nukes and other ICBMs

  • @Armored2DaCore Yep!

  • I wonder where was this system in 9/11 lol !

  • @moee12 it was still there, but no need to use it since it was an inside job! :)

  • @speedfreakpsycho spoke my mind ;)

  • @moee12 IT SHOOTS DOWN MISSILES NOT AIRCRAFT! And that's not funny dickface.

  • They got the Patriot to work then did they?

  • @SlideRulePirate

If by work you mean bleed cash to politically connected contractors, then yes it works.

  • o shut up both you fucking retards at top of comments no one gives a flying fuck australla isnt in a war now so who give a fuck who is yere biggest military allie, if there was a 3rd world war alot of stuff would change and for all ye know a 3rd world country could be your most important allie

  • THATS FUCKING BEAST!

  • but will i blend?

  • @mattm725 wow how orginal this is the 100 000 vid is see this comment....

  • @mattm725 I don't know lets find out.

  • God, this guy is a douche nozzle.

  • YEAH MASS MURDER

    COOOOOL

  • @nos6677 the idea of the missile is to stop mass murder its used to knock missile that would otherwise hit people out of the sky, god you are some fucking retard lol

  • Seriously america?

stop spending money on stuff you'll never use.

And you'll dismiss that as nothing but seriously, you're spending ALL of your money just on killing other people and in return your people die to.

    You're insane.

  • This guy looks as if a little bit hit in the head ,

  • all this talk about china , us, and austrailia is bull shut the fuck up 1 china is tied with the usa in military power its un-deniable, austrailia is alliees with the us so i dont see why ur mad and ripping on each other and 2 the usa is slowly but shurly crumbling so dont talk shit the iraq war has bankrupted your country sad truth all great empires come to a end eventually

  • AEGIS will protect us when people are done puttin up with our shit

  • 3:09 i choose him to be the person announcing the 3rd World War

  • niloneske2 ur an idiot...USA is Austrailia's closest and strongest ally..

  • @supewarrior sorry.. we have a lot of idiots in our country but we really arent as bad as we are on the internet i promise

  • Comment removed

  • Think of them as potential energy. When they are dismantled, the fuel can be used for peaceful means and the warheads for existing nuclear power plants. Does this sound like a win win situation?

  • Why can't we view on iPod?

  • dude why dont you let fps russia to shoot that he probably wont flinch

  • "it does this all with kinetic energy"

Whats the fucking difference is the THAAD had a war head on it and did the same thing? It would also do it all with kinetic energy.....

  • bla bla patriot missle come into mind?oooo twice the speed of a bullet? I'm not impressed.

  • bla bla patriot missle come into mind?

  • All you need to do is MRV the warheads on the missile and THAAD would be useless.

  • @technatezin Which is why we need an early alert system with space based energy weapons that will take out the warheads engines in phase one flight where it is accelerating and still in the enemies airspace before it gets into space and gets to launch MRV. Besides, I don't care because if I die from a nuclear blast I probably wouldn't know it unless I burn from radiation which would suck..but I would know our boomers will unleash hell on earth for them sorry SOBs.

  • @nosvaructu Space based energy weapons? Oh, you mean the old "star wars" system advocated by "Ronnie Rayguns" that has been proven to be a technical impossibility and money sucking failure again and again? Ha ha.

There are so many cost effective ways to knock-out SDI by any third rate power with satellite launching capabilities it's not even funny.

  • @technatezin you don't keep up with military technology do you? The Israelis have anti-mortar systems that are laser based. Laser based technology is advancing leaps and bounds and it won't be long before energy rifles are put into the hands of us forces. Commercial laser weapons that do damage are currently being put on the market. The us Navy tests for taking out speed boats with lasers was a success. We use to work on a chemical laser based on a 747 which was only okay.

  • @nosvaructu Actually most scientists including top world class science professors agree that it would be easy and a lot more cost effective to knock-out space based weapons and overwhelm them with multiple missiles than to compete directly in a space arms race. Any third rate power with satellite launching capability can shoot down expensive satellites with interceptor missiles or arm ICBMs with cheap countermeasures. The only result of a space war would be millions of pieces of space junk.

  • @technatezin It's true that they could saturate the area with space junk but doing so wouldn't neutralize just US satellites but every freggin nation in the worlds. That would put every nation back into taliban era technology since all comms are based on satellite technology. Now America might be more restrained....how would China or Russia feel having all their expensive investments turned to scrap heap. Yeah, they will be less restrained and merciful.

  • @technatezin Iran come to my mind. They are a threat.

  • @Abdikarimelmi I'm thinking more along the lines of Pakistan, India and North Korea, but yes Iran can also come up with intercontinental reach capabilities if they put more time into researching satellites. In any case THAAD is only good (if perfected) in defending against ballistic missile delivery system threats. That is projectiles that are launched like a cannon ball or artillery shell. If enemies are really intent on causing harm they'll find a way to fly under the radar.

  • i live next to the missle range in the video. its cool to see these weapons being tested

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THESE DANM COMMERCIALS WE GET ENOUGH ON FUCKING TV

  • @gokubangchichi Would you rather pay for youtube?

  • Amazing ... But i still love the Patriot.. i Know it will never fail us!

  • so by your own logic your uncle isn't a nuclear physicist because he work for a private company. that isnt logical. if the FEMA camps are for displaced AMERICAN CITIZENS like they say, why do they 30 foot walls with razor wire around it. if it is for american citizens why is there walls, they should have the right to roam freely, shouldn't they, being the land of the free and all. no more fox news for you. alex jones believes in god, how can you believe what he does and in god. no sense

  • solution to this : send 3 fake missles then a nuke

  • @01FNG solution to that... our boomers launch 18 real nukes back :)

  • *Manuvers to the side*

    *Misses completely*

  • and then the scraps fell and killed an indian tribe

  • What would happen with that system if an EM puls was set off and after it there where like 10 missiles incoming in less then 3-5 minutes after?? Does the Backup generators hit in and the system works or will all shit be = epic fail waste of cash??

  • @crumblerxoniz You have obviously put more thought into this than the thousands of rocket scientists working for the U.S. government. LOL What is a waste of cash is constantly preparing for a nuclear war between superpowers.

  • @durhamdf not only the money, think of the great minds that get used to research and produce easier and more efficient ways of killing people. now that is the true sad part of military. great rocket scientist and scientist and engineer all working on ways to kill you. cause you are in there club. hahaha you think its a nationality thing. hahaha then why is there concentration camps being bult in the USA . you seppos will be first

  • @forby24 That isn't entirely true. Actually most technological innovations come out of government labs. Comapnies stopped innovating themselves in the 70s for the most part realizing it was cheaper to just buy new innovations then fund expensive R&D departments. My uncle for instance is a nuclear physicist at lawrence labs in northern california and he works on energy projects. And the whole "concentration [FEMA] camps" thing is a bunch of retard conspiracist bullshit. No more Alex Jones for you

  • Missle command ?

  • Known as ''Kinetic Energy''

    I lol'd

  • That guy is such a penis face

  • What can I say more in addition to that movie?

    Nice against rascals;-)

    Robert

  • Western junk!!

  • S-500 would rape this.

  • GOD BLESS AMERICA, GOD BLESS ISRAEL!

  • @tiestoisu I break the anus of GOD!

  • I would rather be under Nazi Germany's rule than have China conquer the world.

    Go USA!

  • @SinerAthin you still think, all germanys are nazis?

  • @StinkschDu

Who said all Germans were Nazis? :P

  • nice weapon - but for what? u should understand that your immense military etat is getting you ruined.

  • we support china

  • agreed with ilovebrasilful, nobody want to attack us because nobody cares about them, u r the only one that spend millions in developing weapons, create war in another countries so u can take over (STEEL) their resources as u did in the gulf war everything was a huge excuse to steel the petrol and test your new toys... for that and many reasons we support china.

  • So called shooting stars but I thinks it's thaad

  • why did that thing tumble before it accelerates into the sky?

  • @nguyentuan1990 its part of the testing phase. it's to bleed off some of the propellant so it doesn't go out of the testing range. otherwise they've got a long journey to go and pick up any misfires. when/if it goes into service, it will fire normally.

  • @nguyentuan1990 I wondered that too. maybe it's because the missle weights 2,000 pounds.....that's a lot of weight to accelerate...

  • yes very true, and you'll kill everyone in the world with weapons

  • this army dickhead is such a joke, you can't defend against a few hundred missiles,

all of the US d have to be covered with just patriot rockets, what a joke,

  • Somebody finally got their head outta their ass

  • NO NUKE FOR YOU

  • Having been someone who knows the capabilities of this AD system (was an AD controller) this is a system that vastly expands the capabilities of keeping our troops oversees and at home safe.

  • QUAAD Missle.

  • yep rockets fly alone

  • I was going to say dont we have missiles that protect us from incoming ones from like Soviet russia back in 1950s? or somthing like that, or am i compleletly wrong?

  • @TerriHogan1 look up aegis ballistic missile defense.. they protect america with stuff like that... pretty much AA guns for missiles

  • @TerriHogan1

The ones back in the 50's were Ajax/Nike Hercules missiles. They were really primitive, using logrithmically wire-wound potentiometers and levers to calculate sine and cosine for intercepts. But they were planned for countering fleets of bombers, and not incoming ICBM's. Germany has them now, in their alternative use as ground-ground medium-range offensive missiles.

  • If it's that good why not let the Russian fired a nuclear ballistic missile to new jersey.

  • @rogatto1 why dont you let the russians fire a nuclear missile at sidney and let us know how your defences hold up. its funny how US allies rip the US but their own defence strategy is centred around the US like australia. good luck with the chinese.

  • It's about time someone speaks some sense on YouTube.

It's aboot time some person talks with sense on YT, eh.

  • @HaloModder555 are oyu trying to say it in two different ways?

  • What are you talking about? There's only one sentence.

  • @ChexMix71 oh

  • @ilovebrasilful why not u test it on your on fkn country not us

  • @ilovebrasilful

    A) It's called Sydney. If you're going to have a go, get your facts straight first.

    and

    B) Neither Russia, nor China, nor any nuclear power in the world has any reason to attack us. Unlike American international relations, we understand how to get along with other nations, instead of starting wars and pissing our neighbours off.

Besides, China wouldn't even need a war with you guys. They'd just default on your debt, collect their assets, and then it's goodbye USA, hello USC.

  • @ATwistOfTheInsane And what reason does anybody have to go to war with us? We may tick of a lot of other people but lets be honest the only reason why you don't like us is because the common enemy(the soviet union) is gone. If you think china can take control over the U.S. in any way your wrong. There is so much nationalism here it would be a revolution all over again. China doesn't want to deal with United States people just our moeny

  • @ilovebrasilful well fuck up the chinks

  • @ilovebrasilful Wrong again retard, China is Australia's strongest allied country.

  • @niloneske Stop talking crap! China is NOT Australia's strongest Allie. Its our strongest trading partner and the reason our economy is booming. Oh and I wouldn't go downing the U.S mate, they are the reason we didn't get fucked over by the Japanese in WW2. Face the facts "retard" the U.S is our strongest and closest military Allie.

  • @Noddy316 The US is the strongest Ally and China is the strongest trading partner and that's what would make the Australians seem like fucking geniuses if it weren't for the fact that Rudd was elected then Gillard took over and the Australians allowed it to happen.

  • @Noddy316 I agree... We share not just trading but also military resources.

American's come over here to train all the time. It's an awesome alliance.

We are friends with china though... but I dont think think we're on the dating stage yet...

  • @Noddy316 Are you talking about England as the allie of USA?

  • @OneShotProjects Na mate. I'm saying that the U.S is a valuable military ally and China is merely a trading partner. I was correcting niloneske cause his talking about things he clearly knows nothing about. So no im talking about Australia and the U.S not England.

  • @Noddy316 I know what your talking about, and im just explaining a valid nuclear arsenal creator.

  • @Noddy dude our economy is not booming at all
