Why can't more doctors be struck down with M.E.???. I really think some of the heartless doctors are plain and simply sociopaths, unable to have empathy for others. The horrible thing is that abnormalities DO show up in specialised tests and in autopsies...

@SeraphinaRaine When a doctor gets ME/CFS, they often have to give up work and then, because of energy depletion, they aren't in a position to help us sufferers or themselves, for that matter. Thank you for your comment.

Thank you for your comment. The whole of the ME community are with you and I hope you feel much better soon. If you're not already a member, going to a local support group can be very helpful. My own attendances to these have helped me understand why the medical professional community treat us with so much contempt. Liz. :o)

In the mind! I heard that crap before. Explain the active epstein bar infection, many other things screwed up in my blood tests and swelling of organs in my x ray. I constantly wished I could put those bastards into my body for a day to see what it is really like. I was fine before I was sick. It hit me suddenly and I was very very active. In fact the first year I continued to try and jog and ignore it. I made things much much worse.

I've (hoofbags) been particularly badly affected lately but when I'm a bit better: in remmission, I will search for the children/panorama one in my VHS collection. I don't know if anyone else has tried this but if so, I'd certainly benefit from watching it. Additionally, it would save me the somewhat 'collossal' task. In it, the interviewer throws an awkward question at the doctor making him appear compromised.

Doctors like this idiot just need a body-swap experience with an ME sufferer... there's no other way they'll ever learn. Sadly that's not an option.

Basically most good doctors have experience of the disease themselves.

How can anyone believe someone spends their life in bed or really limited just because they've got a life they don't like or stress to start with?? I just don't get it.

I'm so glad these videos exist. One day (hopefully very soon) they can be used as evidence of what we have had to go through from the 'medical profession' for many many decades. I personally rather hope this evidence will be presented in a court of law.

Interesting that all these psychiatric symptoms which Lynne suffered seem to be the result of damage to her basal ganglia.

@octrosie20 I always thought that - Lynn was paraplegic, and you normally get that way with a spinal cord injury. Now, a psych patient can achieve that by throwing himself out of a window, but Lynn lived in a bungalow!

I can never understand how a doctor can look at someone who is obviously paralysed, distressed and in pain and say it's just hysteria or some other such nonsense.

That poor mother having to watch her lovely daughter suffer for so long and then finding her trying to commit suicide and after trying to persuade her to stop, finally helped her to die. The suffering of that poor girl is beyond belief. It is heartbreaking. This poor mother is now on trial for attempted murder. What a mad world this is. I wish Kay very best wishes. If there is a support fund I would be glad to contribute.

Thank you once again for taking the time to post this video. it is vital that as many people was possible see it. Dr. Macintyre's involvement in the video really helps to give it some credibility. I don't know how she controlled herself when interviewing the neurologist at the beginning. Many would have thumped him; if they were physically able!

Professor Simon Wessely is still insisting that severe ME is caused by 'deconditioning'. ME has been classified as a neurological illness by the World Health Organisation since 1969.Professor de Merlier has found a new prion in the most profoundly affected.

The idiot doctor's attitude here is typical of the medical profession's attitude to M.E. It is nothing less than abuse.

May Lynn rest in peace after so much dreadful suffering, and may the psychiatric profession hang its head in shame.

It's hard to watch this video, yet in a lot of ways it's essential to.

Lynne is with us no longer, and maybe by people realising that their ignorance leads to people dying, someone someday will have some guilt in how ME patients are treated.

I wrote to Lynne's mum years back asking if she wanted to be in a documentary. (My version of one).

Ironically her poor daughter had already been in one years before - shown here.

I had no idea.

Once again, tnx 4 kind comments. I've a lot more ME programs on VHS that I want to upload & every single 1 will make some difference. Another is a Panorama one focusing on ME children and the appalling treatment of. A lot of non-medical straightforward stuff gan be done to help us sufferers but the state just won't provide it. To do this will open the 'flood gates'. Dr. Macintyre was medical advisor to AfME You prob already know this.

Yes, the Panorama doctor.. I won't mention him by name in case the mean nitwits decide to [you know what] - so we won't give them the opportunity to gloat.

I remember this chap well, he said to a child with ME recovering from Cancer that she looked like an 'old granny' and people like her need to be 'jollied along' because they 'believe their muscles don't work'.

It would be interesting to see this gentleman say this, to the entire world ME community!

Was in bed constantly with ME: could do nothing: 18 months; London: 90's. Partner wanted me to stay @ his house: Hastings, UK. I re-discovered a left 2 year old pack of Cafergot, took some & life gradually came back together. Cafergot is prescription migraine drug & I think it works 'cause both ME/migraine affects brain-stem. Unfortunately, my GP, who doesn't believe in ME wants me to stop Cafergot & uses it as lever to prevent me getting treatment for ME Hope U get better.Tnx 4 comment!

very well done!! I have cfs , was bedridden off and on for 8 yrs. same symptoms debilitating exhaustion, light bothers me , noise any would just drain the life out of me. but i am getting better but still very debilitated by cfs. i can sleep now and drive short distance and do housework but am very still wiped out afterwards. i know the frustration. god bless you both.
