actually... Mike Ness was the only one addicted to hard drugs (heroin) in the early years of Social D, the band was on the verge of breaking up because of his drug and alcohol abuse.
But Mike got clean in 1985 and after that the band bought out Prison Bound and then obviously they did this show (1986). So at the time of this show he is clean... just sayin
decent quality...hate the goons keeping the kids from dancing....DK<MDC<ECT always had a stage full of divers. heroine stripped a decade from these guys...too bad.
the bass intro sounds so much different then on the LP... not very powerful here... I guess this is the part off Social D were half of the band was on hard drugs... :)
@MicRidget well the differences between the lp bass tone and the one here are that Brent Liles who played on Mommy's Little Monster played a Rickenbocker Bass which has a really distinct tone, while John Maurer is seen playing a Fender P Bass or a Jazz Bass. Either way the tonality is much different and very apparent.
i agree. i think this is a great post and it sounds great to me. if only we could bring it back. but that was then. we've come along way. to where.. let's just say the executioner has sung his last song. last song. his last song.
that bouncer in the red shirt reminds me of that guy on another state of mind freaking out about how the bands are playing bars that 21 and up..
