You're correct - they are Pratt and Whitney engines. I beieve that United Airlines uses them on most of their aircrafts.

the 757 does well in turbulance. I flew west from Atl. into a winter storm and it bounced but not bad. Landings are quite smooth. I have flown on it 2 times and I have to say it could be the best machine Boeing ever made. I have been on 707's, 727's,747's and 767's.

@milepost53 I have flown on 2 757s (both with Delta) and the 757 does do well in turbulence. Just after I took off from SJO in Costa Rica, we hit some turbulence. It wasn't too bad.
