Loved the way you sounded. I'm teaching myself the guitar & would love to try & play this song by Elizabeth could you please let me know what the chords are. Thanks in advance.
Haha brilliant! Love it. Real music. Everything's got too complex these days and look at your clothes! Perfect outfit for this vid. You remind me of PJ Harvey a bit. You know PJ Harvey right? Anyway I'm going to MP3 this and put it on my ipod. I've sent you a message as well. Love the same music as you.
@crrrAZN what soulful more like souless. the Devendra is a trust fund moron. his version is horrible, racist and smug. calling a caricature, a blackface performace soulful? mamie my lord.
@chrischrosmelimelo It has to do with dialect he sings it in his "black lady voice" which is a sort of junkie phase lady day. when the song is written by a much different sort of black woman a country grandma that plays Piedmont blues. he recasts Libby Cotton as a Junkie. he makes some assumptions black women that are down right racist.
Absolutely lovely voice and great cover!! Mrs. Cotten would have been proud!!

Awesome! Really like this. You're not too far off from Elizabeth "Libba" Cotten's version.

leaps and bounds better than Devendra. you actually address the real song instead of some racist fantasy of black women. thank you.
