  • Who is singing the theme song, and what is it called?

  • @789bluebear "Wheels on Fire" -- it's performed here by Jennifer's hubby Ade Edmonson (from "The Young Ones" and Julie Driscoll). There are other versions used, including a French one and also one sung by Debbie Harry from Blondie. The song was originally recorded in 1967-8 by The Band and Bob Dylan, who wrote it.

  • @jiffyscott there's also one by Siouxisie Sioux and The Banshees that's pretty good.

  • hell yea.. i fall asleep every night with this playin wake up it's still on.. golen girls was my #1 sitcom but ab fab definately took 1st place over it.. best sitcom EVERRRRRRRRR..lol

  • If ever I need a cheering-up, I just watch abfab. It's practically therapy.

  • me too!

  • Somewhere around 1998 I'd met up with a friend (love of my life, actually) that I hadn't seen in 4 YEARS. We only had ONE day together, and then he was gone again. During a pause in my flash flood of tears I went to the video store, looking for comedy to cheer me up. I'd never heard of AB FAB, and no one recommended it to me, just happened to see it on the shelf. I'd had PROZAC and didn't feel anywhere near as good as I did when Eddy said to Saffy "Be nice to mama, sweetie..."

  • @alwayspoppies completely agree with you!! this is so good!

  • haha i love this show!!!!!

  • "Home alone mother left to fend for herself, while good time daughter shacks up student-style!"

I left her with a neighbour and friend she said!

  • I purchased every season on disk from Circuit City. My mom and I have the best time, with our popcorn and the ladies. It's the funnest watching the changes. Saf pregnant, the PA as a business woman, the house changes.. great!

  • "click click flash flash" so funny!

  • I find it weird that their kitchen is downstairs. It looks like they're in basement, still they can see the back yard from the window.

  • This is not unusual in London town houses. There is often an "upper ground" floor with front door and also a "lower ground" looking into a light well at the front, sunken to below footpath level but somewhat set back away from the footpath and also protected by railings.

  • that's how i imagined it, thx

  • patsy: "sweety is darling"? huh? i don't understand that... oO

  • "sweeties, darlings"

  • they were sooo good "SWEEETIES!!!

  • my favorite episode!

  • I want them to bring this back, but not in the shit way where they may do a 15 minute thing for comic relief, like a proper series. It's so good :')

  • Thanks for posting. So much fun to see this again. love it.

  • simply one of the greatest comedies of the nineties.

  • The best.

  • This show is pure genius, I wish they'd bring it back...

  • I remember being a kid watching this...brings back memories

  • I ahve absolutely LOVED this show! Is i still on? I do not have cable.

  • this is almost 20 years old now :p

  • Conservatives have taken over our local public television station, so we no longer get Absolutely Fabulous. In all their gracious kind-heartedness, the good Bible-beaters do let us still watch As Time Goes By and Keeping up Appearances.

  • to Servus: Do you live on the set of Footloose?

  • Texas

  • Then god help you.

  • LOL Thanks for the sympathy/empathy!

  • :D

    Patsy is sometimes so travestite.

  • Haven't checked the comments to see if anyone else asked this, but what does "Four-letter Patsy" mean?

  • Either "Slut" or "Puss" Patsy. I'm not sure.

  • It's a euphemism, Without saying 'slag' the newspaper would say four letter Patsy.

  • At first I thought "Tart" then I remembered that later on one of the nurses refer to Patsy as "that old SLAG from the papers..." and since it is a Brit-Com it could be one of those... So jetsetbri is probably right.

  • This is a great show, but really some of these comments are just as enjoyable. Why all the bickering? Judging nations by the strength of their television series.. If Americans are dumb for their simple humors, then all Brits must imagine they're Kazakhstani reporters, gay Austrian fashionistas, or wanna be "G"s with bright yellow jumpsuits.

blah blah blah. Both sides err greviously in their comedy.

...But I'll say I prefer the slapstick and dry humor any day =)

  • I really love this show. I adore Patsy and laugh my ass of at everyone bitching at Saffy XD

  • Naoko Mori! Tosh from Torchwood!...I think

  • Omg, that's totally Tosh! Oh, how I love her. <3

  • yep

  • Yeah! And Daniella Denby-Ashe was in TW with her and played Saffy's future daughter. And the guy that plays Daniella's dad in My Family played Edina's boyfriend. [I'm a dork, I love finding odd connections]

  • ahhh the dayz when booze and fags were fun! Not a crime!

  • Patsy's reaction to her "age" is pure comedy! Joanna Lumely is the best!

  • classic

    =8-0###

  • still processing data

    ...

    =8-0

  • " 'Woman Shows Ankle to Chimney Sweep Shock' "

  • Booze, darling? Is that what they call it down the uni bar, booze, sweetie?

    LMFAO!

  • "sex crazed, morally corrupt, drunken high- class prostitute darling!" LOL!!!

  • saffron is d best.

  • Julia S. was so good in that role.

  • I want to PARTY WITH THOSE TWO

  • Titicaca haha

  • Does anyone know if Jen actually smokes?

  • I just don't see how she couldn't considering how much she does it on the show...but then again she is a fantastic actress who could probably be able to do it.

  • Ab Fab was so ahead of it's time. It's still relevant and fresh.

  • yes i like the show .thank you

  • Is Saffys freind From torchwood??

  • yes - same actress called Naoko Mori

  • Hail to the British Empire for producing the funniest series in a long time.

Most American women think they could be Patsy and Eddie the sad part is they will never be smart, sophisticated or classy enough to be close to these two.

Sorry just because you watch it doesn't mean you could ever be Patsy and Eddie.

They two truly one of a kind friends with each other through the good and bad.

Simply my favorite women in a long time American women want to be them but never can be LMFAO at them.

  • hail!

  • Please trailer park trash like Brittany and Jessica are not smart or intelligent and I point how one of them stated is it chicken or tuna when the can read Chicken Of The Sea.

Gee aren't they so smart sorry but Patsy and Eddie are more fun then most American Women who are neither cultured or beautiful like european women.

These two are truly fun and smart.

  • Being skank don't make you a better person.

  • yes, they are sophisticated. most women wouldn't be able to place designer labels, or know how to dine in a posh restaurant, or tell a vintage champagne from a cheap one. they have class and style and it is not just image, you need to have brains and a good instinct for these things. dont discriminate them just because they smoke, drink and have lots of sex - so do some royalty probably lol

  • Absolutely fantastic!

  • they r on telly as i write lol Saunders and French on that award thing !! they got one WOOOOO!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I'm an American and I understand because I'm laughing. Isn't that the point?

  • yeah don't worry about it. not to be unpatriotic but i get so sick of reading us brits in these comments being all smug about this stuff. stop it, it's an embarassment!

  • Have you ever met the Brits they are a great nation and turn out some of the funniest shows ever.

They are so good Americans have to rip them off.

It is about life and often shines a light on the hypocrisy we all live with.

So Patsy and Eddie could be my sisters anyday of the week.

They are truly the kinds of friends with you through the good and the bad.

At least they are living their lives and having their say about it.

  • I guess when the American version is finally put on the telly.

The brits are better at slapstick and comedy.

If they weren't you would never had to close for comfort or three's company both ripped off from the british sit coms.

Still think Americans are the only ones who can create humor guess again.

By the way I watched this the first time it came around. By the way the new version will suck wind through a straw lol.

So I guess I was a trendsetter and nevr knew it.

  • whats the name of the into song ?

  • "This Wheel's On Fire," originally sung and written by Bob Dylan.

  • is it a miracle that she is walking again...

i really like this series. which ones do you think the best? i think i love this.

or you can join the forum in facebook...

  • REPORTER: "Is it a miracle that you are walking again?"

I love Patsy expression, like WTH?

Then she becomes, suddenly, resolute and says definitively "It is a miracle that I can walk at all! I bless the wonder of life and the newness of living."

  • British comedy is far better then american comedy man everyione knows it we brits are naturaly more funny and more real too

  • hahahahahahahahahaha

    -47
