just why the fuck i had to look for 1 last minute of the video at the speed indicators or whatever it was when he started to take off??? for the whole video i sit and wait until he takes off and i see the speed indicators for 1 minute??? how fucking interesting
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm not really familiar with Airbus's. But to me they didn't seem to use any conventional steering wheels like the Boeing's and etc.. What do they use to control the aircraft ?
@InvalidTechnique They use what they call a sidestick, instead. It is basically a joystick, which is located at the right hand for the first officer, and at the left hand for the captain.
@marshallblank v1 (just like other v speeds) is a speed that is calculated ralatively to the runways length, aircrafts weights, weather conditions etc, and when is called out it means that you reached the ground speed at wich would be very dificult to abort the take off....after "Vr - rotate" comes V2, its a safe speed at which aircraft could fly even if having lost one engine....allthough im not a pilot, just an enthusiast in aviation, but i think its pretty something like that

v1: certain speed in aviation. I forgot how fast it is in km/h. Its also means enough speed for take off.
marshallblank 2 months ago
@marshallblank it depends on the aircraft, no ?

the A330 you're filming in sounds like it's got Pratt & Whitney engines. the A330 that took off in front of you looks like it had GE engines
