  • I think i'm in love

  • listen it many times, still feel it's the best!

  • This is lovely

  • omg Marion was my favorite in all that movie. I fell she was the one who looks more emotional in the movie :D

  • my husband...makes smoothies...

  • Obviously those 6 cannot appreciate

  • She is so beautiful...and that voice!

  • In my opinion this was the only good part of the film. Up until this song I was bored and irritated that I might of wasted my money but then Marion Cotillard started singing and I fell in love with her voice.

  • what the name of that movie?

  • @another04 nine

  • I am a film maker myself. I watched this movie with my wife the other night and afterword she told me she understood me better. I don't know if that's a good thing or not, but I appreciated it none the less. If you like "9" also see "All That Jazz" and the showtime series "Californication"

  • my favourite movie's song .

  • This movie was so amazing I love this song so much and Cinema Italiano, it was a really good cast!!!

  • Frankly, Marion Cotillard saved this film. Her beautiful, grounded performance outclassed every other woman on the screen - even Penelope Cruz (and I LOVE Penelope).

  • @ashpashley Absolutely. I saw it with a person who just couldn't get the nuances. He hated the movie. But I guess it went over his head. He said it wasn't about anything... that nothing happened. A lot of people (reviewers) didn't even get that the marriage was a plot point. Basically the main plot point.

  • This does not sound like My Husband Makes Movies this has different words and they destroyed the concept of the song is suppose a relization that Guido cheats on her and cares more about his movies than her. This causes move closer to singing Be On Your Own in act 2 which they cut.

  • @Sameyach I think that this version is incredibly successful at emphasizing both her isolation and dedication. Her unending love is put on display as strained. Her subtlety has already suggested that she is doubting his fidelity (or even aware of his infidelity). I think that it is a delicate performance and was a good choice.

  • the movie was better than I thought it'd be. This was one of the best numbers in the movie. Cotillard is a wonderful actress with immense talent.

  • Cancion q llega... hermoso tema y la interpretacion fue estupenda

  • She was remarkable in this film. Should have got an Oscar nod. Just sayin'...

  • "long ago" is my favorite part of this song to !!! Cotillard, Kidman and Fergie was wonderful in thos movie !! <3

  • i love the "long ago" part.

  • the songs of this movie are amazing, I loved a call from the vatican and be italina, but marion's is awesome too ;D

  • she was soooo elegant and sophisticated in this film I absolutely loved her in this and this was my favorite song along with cinema italiano.

  • she's awesome

  • @rickwoods i think she was the best

  • I watched the movie last night and this song was the one that I found best... maybe it's just me.

  • she looks like audrey hepburn here

  • i totally agree

  • Comment removed

  • @TheDelphineus i thought it too

  • @TheDelphineus

i think she looks like a hybrid of audrey hepburn and bette davis. theres definitely something bette davis in her eyes, and she has a fire that i never felt with hepburn.

  • @TheDelphineus it's so funny that you said that because I was actually trying to explain how Marion Cotillard is pretty, and I used Audrey Hepburn as an example...they're both beautiful in a very elegant way. They're both amazing actresses too of course :)

  • Marion was utterly mesmerising in this film, one of its few genuine characters. She sung beautifully, using her exquisite beauty to mirror her aura & emotional anguish to perfection. At this point one was made aware just how much the character Guido Contini lacked, blatantly missing what was there. Lewis & Cotillard gave the finest efforts, followed tremendously closely by Dench. It was a fine film & if Lewis was the man of the hour then Cotillard was surely its sparkling diamond. Thank you :)

  • Why did the unbearable Cruz get nominated, and not Cotillard?

Too bad that the Weinsteins - or was it Penelope? - insisted on a Best Actress nom for Marion!!!

  • Greetings koln1996:) Truth be told; if anyone was going to be nominated, it would have to have been Lewis & Cotillard as they provided the foundations; this is not to take anything away from the other performers, they were just a little too random to possess the substance of the leads. Whoever insisted on a nod for Marion deserves kudos even if it proved a jinx; do not worry, like it took a few decades too many for Lewis to be honoured more than once, Marion will triumph again, that is obvious.

  • i guess marion lagged as leading lady

while not any supporting roles this year

Ironically most actresses get oscar towards the end of hier carrer

but marion begin her journey @ hollywood with an oscar

We lov e he r here

  • * BEAUTIFUL * I adore this song! It brought me to tears when I saw it. I had to buy the soundtrack. Love it!

  • I was the only one in the cinema who actually cried in this scene - she plays such good role.

  • I love this tune. So powerful, So beautiful. Every time I play it I get all funny thinking about my wife. We loved the film, "Unusual Way" "My Husband Makes Movies" and more.

  • her performance in this movie is wonderful and so moving. i came close to tears during this song.

  • Preciosa, *_*.

  • I hope she will receive her second oscar!!!

  • Mesmerizing <3

  • she really reminded me of audrey hepburn in this scene... she even has a similar haircut in Roman Holiday - i thought Marion was amazing in this movie

  • I never really gave marion cotillard a second thout, but after this film, she really turned me around. She really is one of my favorite actresses now....

  • This was one of the most mesmerising songs in the whole movie. I love it. I just wish someone would post the full clip because her movements and expressions add even more magic to the performance. I feel like you might ask how that is even possible, well it is, I don't know how, she is that good!

  • oh my god. She is an excellent singer!

  • Oscar winner. Totally.

  • c'est tellement normal qu'elle soit si douée...elle est française ;-)

  • She impressed me in this movie. Saw it today and she was a standout, for sure.

  • she was fabulous in this movie!! i think she deserves her second oscar! her and penelope were probably the best actors. everyone else was good but they stood out the best!!

  • i saw this today with a friend, and I expected it to be good but this movie was just phenomenal. this may be just me but penelope cruz is like a young sophia loren, and maria cotillard left me speechless she was vry audrey 1960s I loved it

  • yes i TOTALLY agree! especially because the way her eyes sparkled! it was AMAZINGGG!

  • They changed the lyrics because IT IS THE FILM ADAPTATION not the actual stage show on film. GET OVER IT and be open-minded. Look at the film as what it is, THE FILM VERSION!

  • she is the heart of this movie, but everyone else was fantastic! but whenever she was on screen i was soooooooooo blown away!!!! she has to win the golen globe

  • There is something about Marion Cotillard. She is by no means the best singer but I love her voice so much and want to watch her in anything I can.....can't wait to see this movie!

  • Lovely voice and I'm sure she is wonderful in it, but I hate, HATE unnecessary lyrics changes. Really, WHY did they change the lyrics they did? Just to annoy fans of the show? I just wanted to be able to sing along, hah.

  • Saw it last night. She deserves a Best Actress nom. She broke my heart. She did so much with eyes - reminded me of Giulietta Masina.

  • she's charming and has a charming role.

  • @chiedu72 definitely! her eyes! man, they're powerful and evoke such emotion!

  • @chiedu72 She was ABSOLUTELY brilliant in this movie. Sadly, the movie didn't make the splash that I felt it deserved, but Marion Cotillard was a gem in this role.

  • Wonderful!!!

  • Wow Love it , I am impressed!!

  • It seems to me that all good actors automatically also have a grat singing-voice. As if one talent wouldn't be enough ^^.

  • have you not seen "mamma mia"?

  • pierce brosnan and meryl streep have great singing voices then?

  • It may be a longshot, but I'm pulling for her for Best Actress. She's THAT good in this film.

  • Wait I thought the movie's not out yet?

  • This is from the official website and I saw an earlier preview screening.

  • Amazing!!! Her voice is just awesome!

    How powerful (3:37)
