Our future was short-circuited by lobbyists. The old industries didn't want to lose out to the modernist & new ways of doing things. Like, take the biggest one. Our houses. A tremendous expense - and they are made of.. termite food. They rot & blow away (shingles) - tornadoes.. hurricanes... etc. We KNOW how to make a much.. much better home. And, look at the cars..! Gas hogs that pollute & burn ancient fuels..! Also, the cults, they are deathly afraid of science & modern..
This song won a Grammy in 2007 and was also played during the 2007 induction ceremony of Van Halen at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Also was played during the credits of 208's No Country For Old Men because the Cohen Brothers said it was "tied with Michael Jackson's Billy Jean as the greatest beat in the world, but the licensing costs for Billy Jean were far too high".
The future has always been at once promising and threatening. Utopia or distopia... it's what we make it. I'm often surprised by how right the gadget predictions of the past were... and for the tings that have not yet come to pass...the timing was out - but that does not mean these senarios will never happen. Thx for the vidcomp angelox1.
