she failed at her studies, she failed at classical music and nightwish was a generous chance to convince some people in the metal scene that it might be cool to have failed classical singer - well yeah it was ^^ she is one of the good ones in metal... doesn't change anything that she applied hundrets of times for classical jobs and she always got refused. now it's probably more money in spoiling rock "classics". And the pedantery ends where it says that grunge is a subcategory of rock. Spare it.

A cover will work if it is "covered" within reason. Over the Hills and Far away was an awesome cover by Nightwish because the song itself is rich in sound and vocals. This is grunge made by a self loathing drug addict. If Tarja picked someone like Celine Dion or Miriah Carey, that would have worked much better.
