Owners/CEO's are the job creators. They pour their own money and resources into a business im hopes that they will get a good return. Workers invest NO money into the business, but provide the labor and should be rewarded as such. If the company succeeds, the CEO's will get a larger reward. If it fails, they lose out on everything. The workers assume no risk, and therefore recieve no reward.

If you tax the rich at insanely high levels for whatever reason (ie youre a classwarfare-esque douche who has issues w/ entitlement), you will inevitably be taking away the money the can invest into their company and ultimately destroy the jobs they would create. Due to Reagan's taxes and deregulation on the rich, we had two recessions, one of which was very seriours. The gap between the rich and the poor continued to widen at an alarming rate, with the poor having less resources and hence the need to constantly borrow, creating the conditions for the current capitalist meltdown.

During Reagans presidency, there was one recession, which actually started during the end of Carters presidency and ended shortly after Reagan took office.

The wealth grew for the richest 1%, because they were allowed to control most of the resources. Reagan also tripled the deficit, and increased taxes on the poorest 15%. His economics are largely regarded as a failure.
