  • Yes, Americans are lazy environmentalist fools that do not understand all commerce depends on paving the whole country over. We need a billion people by 2020 not 2090. To get the cash flowing to the corporations so some can trickle down to the working class. When our masters do well we get a sniff. Learn America sustainability and self sufficiency are words of treason motivated by communists. Buy from business do not feel you have the ability to do it on your own.

  • Let us insourse illigal aliens, and replace american people. Aliens are cheaper than american people, Aliens bring prosperity, and American people are too spoiled, and paid too much. No wonder america is in debt. So bring in more cheap labor.

  • yea! let them pay for their own welfare.......

the illegals will be in for a suprise next year when the tax revolts start and the checks stop coming.

  • I hope your right, because I am absolutley sick of these law breakers. Liberals use them to wage war against american people.

  • i will be right.

it's common sense really . no jobs = no money to pay taxes. simple as that.

do you think people will be worried about paying the government their rent money (taxes) when they cant even afford food?

    NOPE!!!!!!!

  • fuck california let it choke

  • From $1,500 to 350 a week and they can barely survive? $350 a week is a good paying job around here.

"Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great."

For all the nations have drunk the wine of her licentious passion. The kings of the

earth had intercourse with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her drive for luxury." Then I heard another voice from heaven say: "Depart from her, my people, so as not to take part in her sins and receive a share in her plagues, for her sins are piled up to the sky, and God remembers her crimes

  • I hate to admit it, but the prosperity of the 1990s and 2000s was a false hype based on massive immigration of illegal labor and massive outsourcing of American jobs to China. What we got for it in return: A broken economy and cheap paper promises that we now know we will never be able to redeem.

  • Since most port work is IMPORTS and not EXPORTS, the lack of activity is a beautiful thing -- but more than that, it is an inevitable thing. We simply cannot and will not import forever without exporting in a balanced trade forever. People who invested in the belief of that lasting forever are just naive about history. We won't accept unlimited imports, sorry. Take your products and go home.

  • This news story is actually a form of good news for the rest of the US. The rest of the American workers find it a positive thing that less items are being imported from China and abroad. Sorry, that some people will lose their fat-cat union jobs at the docks. They've had their chance at the good life despite their high school educations and limited skill set to earn the big bucks, just like the auto workers. Let the generation rise up who have the skills and desire to create the new economy.

  • They (the capitalists) claim that their continued existence flourishes based on free competition and the free market. Yet let one of

them get into trouble and immediately they run to the taxpayers for a bailout. In reality, this free market is only really free of any sort of regularity, of any sort of rationality, of anything that takes into account the needs of society.

  • No, basically people such as yourself are constantly making ideological claims about "capitalists," none of whom you can name, because you are on a mission to play king philosopher and judge people according to their belief in the importance of private vs. social property. There is no universal condemnation which can define capitalism, because it is not an enumerated philosophy in the way Marxism is, for example. Your definition is self-seeking.

  • It is true that not all of the markets are truly free. I think things should be allowed to fail and let them rebuild naturally based upon their true value to society. Yes the USA was built on immigrant labor, but it was always controlled immigration, not hordes of immigrants taking over our political systems like is happening in California. The rest of the nation generally knows what happens in California happens to the rest of the country 5 to 10 years later and its not a pretty picture.

  • Like it or not if the American economy goes down

the crapper so does the rest of the world.

  • True. China has no market to export to.

  • but it's a blessing in disguise for america. it will translate to very large savings in terms of inter border security expenses because illegal mexicans will no longer cross the border. and colombia will crash too because there will be no buyers of cocaine because majority of drug addicts are americans

  • I would be nice if the poor economy actually depresses the drug trade, but my fear is that the depression will result in greater drug use. It may drive down the prices as the economy plummets, but there is still plenty of profit there to keep business brisk, unfortunately. Did you know that during Prohibition, alcohol usage is reported to have increased at least 150%. Also wine making also became illegal and people started selling 'wine bricks' that were a loophole in the law allowing home mfg.

  • hey now they just start legalizing it watch all this its bad blah blah............. its gonna be can we make a dime on it

  • Yeah right!

  • the guy is a longshoremen i dont think hes hurtin as much as me.

  • My comment was directed to pman9.

P.S. I love your line, "... your time is up. And by the way! I work for an american compnay."

You actually think that the collapse of the American economy will increase our demand for El Salvadorean labor. Hmm. Let me play this out, "Good evening my dear investors. Our economy is collapsing. Americans can no longer afford to buy anything, but no matter what happens, we have to make sure we keep those El Salvadoreans employed."

  • I really dont care if all the american investors leave. I Have 2 jobs and my second job is a Canadian company and guess what smart ass i make more with them... I am just sucking the juice out of what's left jajajaja... Besides My inside corporate sales team is owened by a company that's been around for more than 100 years, i dont think it's going anywhere that quick.. But anyway's its seems that sure didn't agree 2 comments sweet JA.JA.

    It's "Salvadoreans" Not El Salvadoreans!

  • Would the last person to leave California, please return my jumper cables!!

  • You see, America has this thing called a printing press, and as long as idiots abroad keep accepting dollars there is no real problem.

  • This is why I think gold is a good investment. When the USA prints money, it is like a tax on everyone because every dollar they already hold becomes worth less as the overall money supply increases (inflation).

  • SILVER the por mans gold

  • It is a shame to see you americans go through all of this, but i guees your time is up. And by the way! I work for an american company that is out sourcing here in El Salvador like many others and belive me more work is coming this way so at least thats good for me i mean jajajja.

  • You are being paid with printed money. Bush printed 2 trillions dollars las November. He guaranteed 9 trillion dollars in bad loan. Obama just committed us to printing 3.4 trillion more. We Print 50 billion dollars a month just to pay the interest on our debt. That means your paycheck is about to be as valuable as your gratitude. ja ja ja ja.

  • This crisis is the fault of citizens who cant pay their obligations, banks who loan money to people who arent qualified, and the federal government who failed to provide oversight. Both political parties are to blame.

  • ¬_¬ the banks made the fraud... not the people, they are not to blame, cause they were victims in all of this situation...

    you need to...

or... forget about it... If you really think the "unqualified" citizens are to blame, you are probably incapable of any kind of understanding of actual economy, justice, or ethics... etc

  • Bush Jr. dropped the unemployment rate in America from 6 percent to 4 percent. He had it rough and was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He inherited a mild recession from the Clinton era, and then 9/11 hit and that had further economic distress. But under the Bush tax-cuts, the DowJones industrial average, productivity, wages, manufacturing jobs all sky-rocketed. People didn't start losing jobs until the Democrats took over congress. THAT is the reason for the economic crisis!

  • Ahahahaha! that was a joke huh? The bankers who control both parties have riged this whole thing, the people behind the scenes that control the U.S govt have done this on purpose.

  • America should have produce more going out instead of good coming in. That was our mistake. I don't even see any American good made here that is going out to other nation. Everyone is right about that we exspect others to pay for the way we live here, that is not right. When I go to the store, I don't see anything made from the USA, it all made some other nation. This does not make sence either. What has America come to?

  • We can't consume... know why? It's really simple. Most of the jobs have been our sourced. If we don't have a job, we don't have money to consume. This country needs a real leaders to bring the jobs back to this country. Notice I said leaders because 1 person is completely powerless. If you think Obama can do anything your pissing in the wind.

  • interesting piece of information..... more jobs have been insourced than exsourced in the US economy over the past decade....

  • nice clip

  • there you go consumers...its our fault. We were raised better than this. We just arent consuming enough...and util we start going into more debt and consuming like a true patriotic american again, we will continue to be in this mess, and keep the bail-outs commin.

  • great quality thanks

  • We have a nation of consumers but no one manufactures shit!

  • If you check out drudgereport right now there is a report that all major banks are totally bankrupt. Our "leaders" are hiding the true nature of the s--t we're in.

  • Worse, a number of reports have now come out which predict the US Government will default on its debt by the Summer of 2009. Once that happens, a full collapse of the US Dollar will not be far behind.

  • care to inform us of your sources ? wich reports ?

  • leap2020doteu

  • this is just the beginning. things will get worst and worst everyday

  • I can sale all those cars and TVs.

  • good documentary.
