but japanese / imports are too big , isnt there a fuel cryssis? well then wheres all the small cars its getting harder and harder to find a brand new car with a 1.6 liter with 2 wheel drive
manual everything now is 2.2, auto with awd
im one a million that wants a switch instead of full time AWD because that sucks more gas
i miss the tiny 1.y subarus ,360, tiny datsuns, and tiny toyotas , all jst too big ,
this is a luxury sedan, thats what the legacy's in subaru's line up are. this isnt mean't to be getting 40mpg+. if you want a 2wd/1.3l+ go for a subaru justy, ford feista, honda fit, etc etc. ford's feista is coming out this or next year. ive heard some rumors the justy may come back to the usa. and etc. awd is safer and is one reason subaru has the largest loyalty following from customers. and its a uniqe awd system. (symetrical). like they say, its what makes a subaru a subaru.
i was the same. I hated it at first but it has growen on me.. ALOT! The only thing i will miss is the pillar less doors. I hope they keep the 2litre of 2.5 turbo though..this thing would look sick with a scoop!! But otherwise well done subaru!
I'm sure it will look a little more refined once in production, but the front headlights need to be a tad bit smaller. A little to huge but that's just me. With the rear leg room problem just style the seat so your the knees are a little inward toward the seat. Don't make the wheelbase longer.
This car looks great, the design is fantastic all it needs is a hood scoop for the turbo model. The lcd side mirror option is interesting and would make for a good safety feature provided it is reliable. I hope it has a fuel cap holder unlike previous ones. Futhermore the indicators need to be louder, the 03 onwards Japanese spec models have far too quite indicators so one forgets if they indicated or not. Steering wheel audio/climate control options would be great and magnesium paddle shifters.
I do appreciate the much needed increase in rear leg room of the Legacy to keep up with the competition, but just wish that they could have kept the overall dimensions ... I really enjoy the nimbleness of the existing Legacy.
well this one will be wider, so a wider track will surely help with the handling. I love the way my outback handles too. I don't think they'll mess with that much.
I like my 2007 Legacy a lot better! This thing looks too tall and round, with styling cues ripped off from Nissan. And those fender flares/wheel well arches are too prominent.

are they really gonna keep the side cameras and touch screen window controls? I mean, even BMW and Mercedes aren't that futuristic yet.

The first time I saw it I was shocked at how ugly it was. But it has actually grown on me. The only thing I really hate is the massive door handles.

i admire subaru for their low volume sells success, awd, and boxer engine, but this looks a bit too much like the previous skyline/ G35.

i love subaru. the sti is the shit!! looks great and sounds magnificent, runs like a scalded dog!

The Legacy concept is still an inch shorter than a new Chevy Malibu so it will NOT be a full size. The wheelbase is actually more important.
We have interior shots, I just didn't do any sitting in it since the story is really the exterior look and new dimensions.

I hate when cars are redesigned they're getting longer and wider. So now the Legacy will be full size ...
davidhalifax 3 years ago
better than the impala getting smaller than a accord
crammage 3 years ago
but I bet when they redesign the Impala it will once again be the largest car on the road.
