@UKRemixed With the Android update that Xperia X10 will receive in Q3-4, it will get the same HD-filming as Vivaz. If you ask me, Vivaz is a waste of money. The X10 family is the bomb!

@SuperGorjess No, the phone is still running on Android 1.6 Donut. It will receive the update in late october, soon that is. And you will have to do it manually. I have had the phone since it was released and I am mostly disappointed in the crappy Sony Ericsson User Interface and that the phone is getting 2.1 while other smartphones have 2.2. I am not blaming Sony Ericsson for that because I know that this is their first step into Android. So, if I were you, I would buy myself a HTC Desire HD.

@iSahand ive never used a sony ericsson before, but the thing that is making me look at this phone is the 8mp camera. this is enough to make me want the phone regardless of anything else. is the htc desire 5mp camera? I played on my friends HTC and didnt really like using it,but it wasnt the Desire.

I dont really know what all this 2.2 or 2.1 stuff is, so perhaps i would be ignorant enough to enjoy using the xperia X10, especially as i mostly want it for camera.. what do you reckon?

@SuperGorjess My suggestion is that you try any phone that you want at the store before you buy it. Believe me when I say that the Samsung Galaxy S i9000 takes better pictures than the X10, although, it has a 5 MP camera. Also, the pixel quantity of the camera is not that important, but, if that's your desire you can always buy the HTC Desire HD, which has an 8 MP camera.

Please, try the different phones before you decide.

I'm on o2 and will be upgrading, but on the o2 website there is no htc desire 'HD', and the one im thinking you mean is only 5mp camera not the 8 which you said, so is this a different phone completely?

on website s that it was supposed to be getting multi touch one min then its not the next. and it says nothing about its absolutely crap battery life. or its force closing and lagging. or low in call volume. and it is inherent in the fone if u have one then u'd have to agree the volume is terrible. negligence does not come into it?

i have this fone and i am not happy at all wioth it. i am returning it asap to swap for a htc desire and i'll tell u why. the in call volume is so low u can hardly hear it. with the earphones in its low too........... music is not at all load. it does not have multi touch so most emulators or games u cannot play properly. and it lags. also u are forced to sign up with gmail and u cannot acces microsoft exchange withot 3dr party software nor yahoo without a monthly fee. its crap!

@kevrevv why would an android phone give you access to microsoft software, and of course you need a googlemail account its a google android o/s you should do your research more before buying a phone. any website with this phone spec will show that it doesnt have mutitouch so why get it expecting it does? so its not the phone thats poor its your own negligence.
