  • really good man, can I ask where/how you got the Eotvos transcription for this one? I have been looking for it everywhere online and I its like $120 on amazon. I really want to learn this aria

  • @guitarzan8899

120$ is a rip off! I got the book at some specialized guitar store in Barcelona ("Casa Luthier") for approximately 25€. You can get it online through the publisher Chanterelle. One hell of a transcription! :)

  • This is absolutely wonderful!!!! this aria is heartbreakingly beautiful and tragic at the same time... I am grabbing the Eotvos transcription ASAP!!!!!!!!

  • Such a beautiful arrangement. I think it's charming that you're still struggling with some passages, and there's evidence of difficulty "fitting" this piece onto the guitar. It makes your successes even more commendable. Too often, we see concerts with music in its "finished form" and it obfuscates the effort and frustration that went into making it so. It's a real treat to get a glimpse of this stage of your relationship with the arrangement.

  • @Morganizer

Very well put, sir. Thanks for your thoughtful words.

  • Beautiful :D

  • what brilliance!!!!..keep it up!!!!...cheers!!

  • Nice, I like after-beat line at the beggining. ***** Regards :)

  • Fabulous. You capture the essence of an authentic style brilliantly. I love the way you spread some of the chords, as if you were on an actual harpsichord!

  • is this from the Eötvös transcriptions ? you've done the best ive haers on guitar, nice tempo, well executed. 10/10

  • very nice! This guitar you play has a beautiful tone!

    Is it a Ramirez?

  • No, it's a Picado guitar from Barcelona.

  • Beautifully done. Takes one's breath away.

  • bloody brilliant! no chanse you could send me a tab of it is there? all the ones i can find on the internet sound wrong to me and im not quite good enough to learn it from your vid! cheers n congrats on a gr8 vid!!

  • Hello.Excellent ,I will try to make of it a version with cords steel because I like this piéce.Cheers.*****

  • Thank you, I'd really like to listen to it in your steel string version.

  • Beautifully played.

Can I see the transcript score? I want to play it too! Now lets hear variation 15 :-|

  • I love that variation and certainly I'll end up recording it some day, the Eötvös book is really an amazing work of transcription.

  • Wow... that sounded much better than I expected. Great work!

  • Nice to see it being played on the guitar. It seems a shame to me that people run something down because it doesn't fit their view of what's right. People have been transcribing from one instrument to another for centuries and long may it continue. I'm sure Bach wouldn't disapprove in the least.

  • I study this piece myself, and you are fantastic. Amazing voicing and great tone. Keep up the music! :)

  • I remember being able to play this from a tab i found on the internet, but i forgot it now and cannot find the tab anywhere :(.

    Nicely played btw.

  • Great job, did you transcribe that yourself?

  • try learning variation no. 1 >P

    cheers mate loved the video

  • There was a lot of thought in those 2 1/2 minutes. Nice playing.

  • fuckin awesome

seriously, fuck all those piano whores who worship glenn as if he was christ himself

i love this Aria and this transcription which i have

btw have you heard Rodalmer's interpretation of the goldbergs on two guitars?

  • Very sweet performance,I think you breathed alot of life into this aria.

  • don't listen to haters. This was great work. I don't see your detractors doing such nice work.

  • Thanks Newton. Seems that D string is slightly worn out, isn´t it? Those strings are crying for a replacement.

  • Is the guitar in tune? That was fantastic by the way.

I love the Goldberg Varations. You played it like the old Glenn Gould.

  • he! newton and hyperboreal...does your ear working good?..this guitar is perfectly tuned!...good moment anyway

  • nice but this really belongs on the piano (and I love the guitar believe me) listen to Glenn Gould play this on piano...
