really good man, can I ask where/how you got the Eotvos transcription for this one? I have been looking for it everywhere online and I its like $120 on amazon. I really want to learn this aria
120$ is a rip off! I got the book at some specialized guitar store in Barcelona ("Casa Luthier") for approximately 25€. You can get it online through the publisher Chanterelle. One hell of a transcription! :)
This is absolutely wonderful!!!! this aria is heartbreakingly beautiful and tragic at the same time... I am grabbing the Eotvos transcription ASAP!!!!!!!!
Such a beautiful arrangement. I think it's charming that you're still struggling with some passages, and there's evidence of difficulty "fitting" this piece onto the guitar. It makes your successes even more commendable. Too often, we see concerts with music in its "finished form" and it obfuscates the effort and frustration that went into making it so. It's a real treat to get a glimpse of this stage of your relationship with the arrangement.
Fabulous. You capture the essence of an authentic style brilliantly. I love the way you spread some of the chords, as if you were on an actual harpsichord!
bloody brilliant! no chanse you could send me a tab of it is there? all the ones i can find on the internet sound wrong to me and im not quite good enough to learn it from your vid! cheers n congrats on a gr8 vid!!
Nice to see it being played on the guitar. It seems a shame to me that people run something down because it doesn't fit their view of what's right. People have been transcribing from one instrument to another for centuries and long may it continue. I'm sure Bach wouldn't disapprove in the least.

Thanks Newton. Seems that D string is slightly worn out, isn´t it? Those strings are crying for a replacement.
hyperboreal 5 years ago
Is the guitar in tune? That was fantastic by the way.
I love the Goldberg Varations. You played it like the old Glenn Gould.
