  • After watching the movie "Fight Club" for the first time, I decided to research DID some more. I have found that it is possible for several personalities to communicate with each other. However, I still have not been able to learn whether or not they can "see" each other as the personalities do in "Fight Club".

What I'm really asking, I think, is "Is 'Fight Club' an accurate depiction of DID?"

Thanks for your educational video :) .

    -IMP ;) :)

  • i've never seen fight club. i can only say what it is like for me/us. we can see them in our mind. not outside of the mind though. hope that helps some. sorry for not responding sooner.

  • Y, We're with Smiles alot... I don't know if We could actully get a job in a... One where We have to be on time and stuff... We have ALOT of umm... days that We haven't gone into work. We have slept alot, because well, things... Mostly just h*ting reality and wanting an eascape (Might delete this some time), but ya. Ya, and it's nice to hear a voice. :).

    Cya guys. Whoever

  • I can't remember half my childhood. people around me don't understand how I could have forgotten about the man who tried to kill me as a kid and other things that happened. What you are talking about scares the crap out of me, especially since I've had an on-line therapist tell me they feel I have PTSD from things that happened in my past following the death of my kids last year. I can't work or function and people don't understand.

  • From the time I was 13 I've begun remembering some bits a peices but I'm to afraid to find out if they really happened and just assume that they did. My Mom works in a Mental Hospital and she finds it humors that my second biggest fear is being in a place like that. She re-tells the story of taking me there around a campfire laughing so I can't talk to her. I don't agree with meds so I'm to scared to go to therapy. I'm scared to death of therapists.

  • And My God, I've always refered to myself as "we" it's instinctive and automatic. I have to concentrate not to. I say now it's because I'm including my husband in everything when I'm questioned about it. Should I be worried about this?

  • thanks for the response. both of you. i did say that i had a job. i actually am not employed right now because the pressure inside and outside got to be too much. i'm debating on what i can do. it can be extremely hard to find a therapist at all that works with DID. that is so true, but then add the money situation and that can be even more difficult. i wish you a ton of luck!!!!

  • Hi, thanks for video. I actually heard that DID isn't as rare, but is coming out more now. A lot of therapists don't believe in DID. It's a controversial topic. It's also hard to find a therapist who will work with DID or clients with poverty. Good for you for being able to work. I can't right now but am working toward that goal. I miss too many days at work. Memories may be skewed but I believe they do mean something. Thanks.

  • oo nice to hear a voice behind that IM. =)

i like this video. very very good!

ppl will get a lot out of this video.
