I noticed they had to move the SkyHawk out of the way in order to get the sign down. Obviously, they moved it back into place for the bonus round (you can't play the bonus round without the cars, obviously!).
I think the whole disassembling the set during the show was a bit ridiculous. They're trying to pass this off as a live show, but it was really taped in advance AND it was syndicated (meaning it would air at different times in certain markets). Not only that, but I don't think they used one bit of the actual set when they were in Florida.
Oh, BTW, does anyone know why they aired the two Florida weeks separately instead of back-to-back from this season?
@Tubewings They had me fooled. Not many game shows taped on location at this time and when they went to NYC a few months later, they did pack up the entire set! I actually missed this episode the first time around, as well as the first one when they came back so this is all like new to me!
I honestly thought they were taking the game board apart until only a few months ago when I finally saw their first episode back with the speed set up and realized the board was one piece and what they'd done was just turn it around.

When the show was being taped for the week in Florida, did most of the NBC technical staff come along for the ride or did they depend on locals?
Same with Radio city Music Hall.

I wonder how many people actually really believed they were moving the entire set from Hollywood, California to Hollywood, Florida.
I wasn't one of them.
