The crux is whether or not he was willing, able and ready to lie about his sex life to protect his image, his marriage, his career etc, AND make £200,000 into the bargain. A considerable sum. Sounded exactly like Tam to me. The version of events discussed was consistent with that presented to me by one of Tam's witnesses, who then said something completely different in the witness box. Either this person was lying to me in November 2004 or they committed perjury. Given that in November 2004 (as now) I would have perferred the NotW allegations to have been unfounded, I have sound reasons for believing substantial and critical elements of the story. Sheridan lied. His witnesses lied.
