There's no proof that there's an increase in the greenhouse effect as a result of carbon dioxide output. We need to start using more renewable sources of energy (nuclear power is probably the most viable), but lies have been stirred up by these activists and hippies.
How DARE Sean Bedlam impose his cunty science-centric cunt views on the people who aren't convinced of climate change. Those people are entitled to their own belief systems, and if they want to believe in things that are less accurate than our best available information at the moment, even if it's just for emotional comfort, then that's no excuse for being a cunt. Hanging onto inaccurate beliefs is more important than acting to prevent human life from suffering, you cunting cunt of a cunt.
DaNile is not just a river in Egypt! People are stupid. They will not change until it's too fackin late. Did you see the vid of the two gents getting into a Sauna where they knew the Temp was going to be raised to 110 degrees Celsius (23 degrees Faren.). Everybody knew that wasw well above the boiling point of liquids at sea-level but they did it anyway, sitting on their stupid asses until they were par-broiled to death. My point? People ARE STUPID!!
@kkirT i think the point was that we don't want to rely on oil for energy, we want renewable energy. If we had that, oil spills wouldn't ever occur, etc.
The government is also stupid in Iceland. They put aluminium factories everywhere. The people don't want that. But the money loving government does. Stupid bastards.
Something interesting: All the plants animals microbes and everything else absorbs ~220 gigatonnes of CO2 yearly. Humans as a species produce ~25 gigatonnes of CO2 every year. So, the lion share of "evil gas" is produced by nature itself. So by shutting down plants, and not creating new ones, it's like planting a couple of trees at the expense of a 100 people not getting a job. But hey, I'm just a guy on the internet.
@ArtypNk Yeah it's very interesting that people can just make up numbers and base an argument around it, like the numbers heard in the video or the ones you are spouting as fact.
@kkirT Riiiight... This is the part where your core beliefs are so unshakable, that 1 internet search that goes something like "natural CO2 emissions"is unnecessary, because man made global warming is a fact and to think otherwise is a crime. Well, don't check my numbers. Dont perform simple internet searches. Argue with people without the knowledge. What do I care?
@ArtypNk It's about tipping over a fine balance. Nature was in balance, but add 25 gigatonnes to that and you've got a problem. It's possible to convert the molecules of our atmosphere into different things and make our planet as uninhabitable as venus, if we want. We are beginning to do so, and that's the problem.
@marniespeaks Yes, yes they can. It's not like I have a degree in power engineering... oh wait, I do. I don't really want to play the smug bastard here, but after 5 years of studying power generation from all sources (and I mean all sources) I have come to this conclusion. And the faster that the world governments come to this conclusion, the better. The problem with solar and wind is that they're small generators and that makes them unstable in a large grid.
the problem I have with degreed power engineers is they generally follow what they've been told to follow.
The solar grid doesn't have to be a grid at all - it goes on your roof and what extra you generate you can sell back to the energy company - it needs government investment - the people fighting it are the coal and oil industry.
Oz has lots of sun so this isn't much of a problem for them. - They could also reduce their energy in the summer by painting their roofs white
on a large scale there's a guy who has developed a solar cell that's pretty remarkable - one football field could generate enough electricity for roughly 2 million people - not bad - they are trying it in Arizona.
In the US nuke isn't worth the trouble - 10 to fight, 10 years to build and they still have no place to put the waste.
You may be fine with it in your basement, but your neighbors won't be.
@SkaraaBradock "The problem with solar and wind is that they're small generators and that makes them unstable in a large grid."
no problem. solar cells go up on the roof and a battery management system goes in a closet or the basement in the house. since there are already thousands of homes in America doing just this, it's a proven success.
and once the grid is lessened in importance, attacking a nation's power supply becomes a lot more difficult for belligerents. no grid, no problem.

For example, the BP oil spill was a result of corporate greed, it has nothing to do with climate change.

It's frustrating that industry and the general public waste so much energy and then claim renewables can't fulfill their need.

if a solar cell fails, the sun doesn't spill out all over your lawn making it uninhabitable for decades to come.
