Comparing Zeppelin to these guys is completely valid, as both bands have American blues at their core. They're both totally bad-ass, which is another reason for valid comparison.
Dan is amazing. He is one guitarist with one guitar, and does pretty sick solo's in various songs. And if some of you dont notice during the switch of chords and riffs, he plays little improvisational solo's. He's got soul. This is the blues.
Dudes Auerbach is an awesome guitarist,and the Black Keys are an awesome band. if you think he or his band sucks, you are out of your mind. I'd like to see you come up with the awesome riffs he does and make such an amazing sound with only a drummer. It's not all about solos.
Maybe you've recognized that he's not using a pick. I'd like to see you play a better solo than him, only using your thumb ;) It's damn hard to play a fat sounding solo without another instrument backing you.
