Barry gets treated like this while everyone forgets about Jason Giambi's steroid use. Just because you take steroids does not mean you can go out and do what Barry did. if i took roids and sat on my couch watching youtube then tried to step behind a major league fastball and knock it 400 feet i'd probably end up in the hospital somehow. it's not just the roids. it's intense training mixed with undeniable skill & talent combined with a synthetic enhancer to emphasize his full potential. how is that unfair? even when most of the majors' best pitchers were on juice he still crushed them. he earned every homer he got, roids or no.

i know barry used roids. so? they shouldn't even be illegal in my opinion. i don't condone them, but how are they any different than any other method of physical improvement? super vitamins? tommy john sugery? it turns a pitcher's elbow into a fucking knee for god sakes. people have been using them since back when they were legal and the only reason barry gets hated on is cause he's kind of a dick on top of it all. people need to get off the haterade and respect the stats of his whole career.

Attended a game at Vet Stadium in Philly when Willie Mays came to play at the end of his career. He received cheers and a standing ovation. Barry Bonds and the other athletes who used/use performance-enhancing drugs are a disgrace to their sport and deserve derision. They've tainted an entire era in sports.

I always love how people who defend Bonds have to bring race into it. Bonds didn't just cheat like McGwire and Palmeiro did; but he was a tremendous asshole who consistently refused to sign autographs for fans and he's even told them several times that they need to get lives. The fans pay Bonds' salary, and this is how he treats them.
