yup yup...apparently his mom had some sort of brain cancer ans thats where the line "the mind is poison" comes from

yup, it's actually sort of sad, it's about his parents meeting in a trailer park (white-trash county kiss) and growing up together in love, then the last verse (now cinderella don't you go to sleep, it's such a bitter form of refuge, why don't you know the kingdom's under seige and everybody needs you) is about his mom getting a brain tumor. the lyrics are so great. fantastic song, can't wait for the video!
