  • why did those leads have trouble hitting a G? I would have thought that they'd have played the solo sections a bit better. =(

  • @wannaplaytrmptjmu - because they have been playing since 7am. The whole band goes through a 3 hour rehearsal where they play all the music that will be played later that day. They get maybe a 2 hour break and then have to start warming up for the game. They then play pre-game...during the first half...halftime...during the 2nd half and then play a post-game (sometimes 2 whole shows). I can attest to this as I used to be one of these leads playing the "screaming" parts.

  • @wannaplaytrmptjmu - let me clarify my last sentence. I was not one of the soloists in the video. I WAS a soloist in the early 90's.

  • @THAIMRD hmmmm, then would you happen to know chris wilkes by any chance?

  • @wannaplaytrmptjmu - sounds familiar - when did he march? I graduated in 1994

  • I would so love to be part of this band! Y'all jam pretty good, and remind me of my old high school band. :-D

  • you really dont know how massive they are untill they march right past you......at a competition they arent in the competition....and you go right after them in full blow shock because your high school band just got crushed but hey i thought it was fuckin sweet

  • lol...nice "screamers". weak

  • and this is why I really want to go to JMU :D

  • Good job. I like the combinations of the two songs. We played this in 88 at Jax State in Alabama. I love Firedance.
