Olbermann's argument makes sense though.  Why would you tell people to send letters to a hospital that can't give the mail to people without a specific name on it. He didn't say the idea was bad, he just said they were getting ahead of themselves. They should have checked the procedures first.

What actually happened was that Fox Noise, once again made a mistake, and after that, they watched Olbermann who is the true leader in news, realized they were wrong and then corrected it. Even now, as Keith said, you still cannot send them mail without a name, Fox Noise in turn has you send the mail to them, and what they do with it after that, is anyones guess. KO dinged Faux News for telling viewers to send Holiday Greetings to "A Wounded Soldier" at Walter Reed Hospital. Walter Reed advised Faux that they would be unable to accept anything addressed like that.

The Faux segment shown in this video is the "Whoops" response to that gaffe by Faux.

As such, they'll do anything to act like they really care about the troops, (Besides, you know, maybe bringing them home?) not to help the troops, but to shove it in everyones face.
