  • Very beautiful! Thanks for posting. I liked Noreika very much in the Soviet Union and now lost all track of him. Long live YT!:-)

  • Magnifique document .

    Merci pour le post .

  • Is it ok to slide and scoop on this song?

  • @Akee1990 As a baroque piece, you would think not. However, many of the greats have sung this quite romantically to great effect. I must admit that I prefer the romantic style over an earlier style, usually regardless of the piece, so I'm quite fine with such discrepancies. I would imagine that an early music buff might have a very different opinion.

  • @BassoProfundo87 Agreed.I don't think there should be sliding unless the msic says so or if it's jazz

  • I adore Noreika´s voice. When I heard him live twice in Stockholm in Rimskij-Korsakov´s Mozart & Salieri, together with the noble bass of Yevgenij Nesterenko I made my opinion considering Noreika. One of the most beautiful tenor voices of his generation. His recital on LP with italian and russian arias, made in the seventies is still one of my favourite tenor recitals including a doublephrased opening of Recondita armonia. The only one of its kind I have ever heard, reminding of McCormack. Piata!

  • This is c-minor. a-minor is for baritone or bass. For example - bass Ghiaurov sing in as-minor.

  • No es una canción sacra, sino el aria del tenor del tercer acto de la ópera San Juan Bautista (NO EL ORATORIO), de Stradella.

  • Very beautiful voice and propper manner of interpretation!! Bravo!

  • Lovely singing but the slow, unvaried tempo ruined it for me. Why in the lower key?

  • @Colormexsad actually i think you wil find it's in A Minor not C Major lols!

  • @Colormexsad and D Minor is the Medium High Voices version in the 24 Italian Songs & Aria's Book!

  • @paulwilsonmusician i swear everyone in the world has that book lol. i prefer to sing the C minor one from the medium low book.

  • @Lovelytenor1 It's in A Minor, he's a Tenor 2 working up to Tenor 1 range so the A Minor key makes more sense than the D Minor which poses a huge G for a Tenor 2 to reach

  • A gorgeous voice with an elegant style.

  • Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nuostabu
