  • Thanks for this post! Before I read the info on this I watched the video and thought that he had the same style as GM Lema. Much respect to old Masters.

  • ako p0 expert.,in kali stick or arnis,,, hhmmmm i think kya ko cia sbayan, iba kc ang actual fighting sa demo,im also expert in sling ^_^

  • have you seen "real filipino stick fighter best in its class? its dedicated to all FMA artist and masters thank to all fo you

  • meron ba talagang nag papractis ng arnis sa luneta? i wanna know if there realy are eskrimadors in luneta. i'm just hoping i could learn through watching.

just yesterday, my nose bled while seeing the 1975 film of remy presas with his one stick video. it was awesome.

anyway i do love to learn arnis i just have a problem with cash, anyone here knows romy valleno? oh and is mr bert labaniego aka maestro? chill...

    paolo jerome, paranaque

  • ang alam ko na nandun palagi is si maestro rodel dagooc, sa likod nang grandstand.

kapatid, mahirap na nga ituro ito sa nag aaral. mas mahirap lalo kung papanoorin mo lang. this is my opinion on your query.

as for maestro romy, madalas magkasama yan sila ni mang bert.

    pugay!

  • @teablack8 you cannot learn by just watching. you have to personally experience any type of combat training to assess your capability and understanding of th art. mind, body, and soul...that is what the arts' essence is comprised of. you just can't feed the "mind" portion. any teacher worth their salt will tell you that you can train with them by your sincerity and eagerness to learn. you can pay them in a way that you can agree on...perhaps through blood, sweat and tears if need be.

  • Can you DIG IT!!!!!!

  • Mang Bert isn't owned by anyone. Apparently he is his own individual. This is one of the reasons WHY I have not joined along for the ride w/ felow Pinoy eskrimadors in ANY FMA organization. They sucker you in w/ that "family" bullshit and then make try to make you obligated to fulfill duties for their own motives.

  • DanJuan, yes indeed. Mang Bert is not owned by anyone. But he freely chose to be part of the LSAI Organization. I say FREELY because no one owns him. It was his own decision. Besides, not all organizations are crap. The "motives" spoken of in the LSAI organization were AGREED UPON BY ALL SIGNATORIES, including him. Please don't judge organizations prematurely. Rest assured, anybody who does disrespect Mang Bert, even those in LSAI will be grounded. Mang Bert is still Mang Bert. Peace.

  • yah you're fucking right...

  • For the others... the issue with Mang Bert is an LSAI internal issue. There is an appropriate venue for these issues. Yes, Mang Bert is a well respected and skilled escrimador, but being part of a larger organization, he has his own responsibilities and obligations to fulfill. He has been given the right to speak before all the other Masters (not just the "UP" people). So let's leave it at that. Thanks!

  • wow! when i see arnis and espada y daga in action it makes me proud to be filipino! where can i learn arnis? are there any authentic instructors near or in mandaluyong?

  • tight, GM owns

  • Mr. Bert Labaniego. you still need to explain your actions to the LSAI-COUNCIL of the DVD. Eplain before you comnplain.....

  • what is the problem?

  • Right.... just like I thought. I don't see reason to question a man who knows what he's doing.

  • Bathala300... whatever internal issues LSAI council has with Mang Bert stays there. This comment was uncalled for. Thanks.

  • hey bathala.... i suppose you value your health still and decided to post it here rather than saying it to our face. but then again, you might not even know what you are talking about.

  • hahaha.... fucking LSAI council controlLed by the dumb asses of UP, they just want to take a piece of shit of what was left by mang ben... there is no reason for some fucking explanation... you bathala if i will find out who the fuck you are im gonna break your fucking head...

  • make sure to tape it and send it to me so I can post it.

  • From the looks of your post, you are not even part of the LSAI organization... in which case, your opinion on LSAI matters does not matter. Mind your own business and do not poke your nose where you shouldn't. Now with regards to male genitalia (bayag), "comparing sizes" is not a hobby of mine. Sorry.

  • How old was your grandfather at the time? By the way it is always inspiring to watch a master in movement. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

  • Filipino sword-fighting style is deadly.........hehehehehehe...back in my country we still use this to settle disputes..

  • dang!!that was fast... at first i thought that was pasforward but then when i reply it again & again. it's not. hahaha! vow down 2 this old man. GM.

  • that's my grandpa. lapu-lapu's great great grandson. :)

  • Rayden wins.

  • Belle fluidité, on sent la maîtrise. Bravo!

  • ARNIS IS MAD! This guy rocks! yay mabuhay lol

  • that was amazing. i wonder how that style will do against a sabre?

  • godamn that was kickass!!!

  • Kilat Bai!!

  • Ang lupit!

  • ayos!

  • Unmistakably Lightning! It's great to see Mang Bert in action.

  • The way he hit the attackers cap / hat is very cool, shows great control in flow.

  • espada y daa is a dangerous style, you'll gonna cut yourselfif you don't train hard... Just shifted from Arnis de mano to espada y dage and i got these cuts in my arms already even i just startted...

  • Incredible - great flow. Lol, hat destruction. Now I have to research Gm Labaniego.

  • That espada y daga was awesome.

  • good stuff.

  • Those moves were so fluid. I would have loved to train under him. Another great find bro.

  • fyi, that bolo is razor sharp, we had it honed some couple of weeks back.

  • That's GM Bert Labaniego of Lightning Scientific. Awesome!
