  • careful on right hand phrasing

  • This music is so enjoyable to listen while you work on your computer.

  • Great sonata and very nice performance! Thanks!

  • Great sonata, and veri nice performance! Amazing! You enter the piano!

  • wow this interpretation is interesting and differente for the others and even there are very few technical mistakes =) good work really 5*

  • I guess I'll learn this for a piano competition...

  • a nice piece, but no where near as technically demanding as the pathetique or moonlight or tempest or appasionata or waldestein or hammerklavier

  • FAO lazawrcat666

I went for a nice walk today. However it was nowhere near as technically demanding as flying a fighter jet or performing brain surgery.

    I enjoyed it though.

Those who criticize expose themselves rather than their subjects.

  • That's one of the smartest / sharpest replies I have read for a while now ;)

  • learning this piece atm. very fun to play. and ofc it's not as technically demanding that's why it's on the grade 8 syllabus. fool. not everyone can play all that stuff straight away.

  • @barnsie The first movement is not as technically demanding, but the third movement is the hardest one. Both technically and musically.

But this movement is simple compared to the other two.

  • agree.

    but aren't you criticizing him?

    lol

  • Ahh Pathetique... one of Beethoven's best!

  • Yeah, funny how you only mention the well known sonatas too, look for the hidden gems like this one, some of the mare very technical!!

  • Just thought I'd mention that Pathetique is one of the easiest Beethoven Sonatas. I also thought I'd mention that hammerklavier is probably the hardest piece Beethoven ever wrote. Plus no point in talking about technical demand, it doesn't say much about what the piece is worth. If that were the case all music not by Liszt and Alkan would be useless.

  • @lazawrcat666

Well, while that is accurate in perspective (i started with this sonata on the pensum), it is still Beethoven. You must manage a wide variety of sounds and techniques. Doing it properly is really really hard.

Of course , Hammerklavier is harder than Emperor concerto.
