There's probably TOO MUCH information on tone but that's what I call crunch - it's distorted but a lot less than you would think - people ask Angus how he sets his amp. He says the pre is only driven like one number higher than the master. Hot pickups help too. You can also try your master on 10 + raise your pre just a hair up from zero, just the tiniest least you can move it and keep it at a listenable level (IE bedroom level) That works on my Fender Champion 30 DSP. Diffenent on stage.

i like the song and the band...... but i feel they don´t give the same show they use to..... for example loot at scott he does not do the same stuff he did when the band was the one and only stone temple pilots....... I think they don´t have the same feeling they use to

As a singer and the son of a singer (and after studying artists' renditions of their own songs, especially live) I've come to the conclusion that an old song can be given new life if you switch it up a bit. That's the only reasonable explanation I can come up with. Sure seems likely.

This WAS uncalled for but, so was the previous comment above (not made by me). What makes me so special? Nothing. My Dad? Nothing. I never claimed it to be. I was just making what I thought to be a clear observation and I got flamed for it. I went through high school idolizing these guys and I guess I'm just happy they're back together, no matter what Scott sounds like. Age does change your voice but, he said himself that he's used different techniques through the years. That's it!
