  • @crinoid1919 This makes me want to vote Democrat, but then again that might be the point.

  • Dinner was served at 10 am?? wft?

  • @IwillKillYourCereal dinner is lunch.. supper is dinner.

  • @decepticon792 oh, wow, I always wondered what the difference was. Thank you :)

From now on I'll follow the people in the UK by calling lunch: dinner.

  • @IwillKillYourCereal well, its what i heard from many different sources. Im not british/european myself tho XD

  • .....

  • my dad once told me watching so many people die gruesome deaths was why so many people back then were "loopy", he might've been exaggerating. but i thought people, especially an executioner would just be more accustomed to the gore. i can see why so many executioners suicided

  • Thank you, helped me so much with my History project :)

  • this much feel like deja vu for tony. Black adder reference :P

  • @1thinkexsist1

    Lol! No joke!

  • That headsman needs to narrate some philosophy program or something. His accent is intensely sombre haha

  • Interesting note: the executioner (Geoffrey Abbott) is/was a Yeoman Warder at the Tower of London, and has written several books on the history of this ghoulish subject. Worth a read if you don't mind seeing how nasty people can be to each other.

  • @8malevolent8 well. I want to leave back to my homeland alaska ^_^

  • When he borrowed that guys hat I thought he was going to throw it into the fire.

  • As a history nerd I absolutely love this series

  • Little strange how the executioner speaks as though he actually is one and has experience in decapitation....

  • damn, he's a natural. maybe he's from o long line of executioners.

  • any one know where I can buy this series?

  • oooh i would kill to be aloved to cook and eat there.

  • lol i cant stop thinking about him being an exicutioner in blackadder

  • @Amankila1 It's a pumpkin with a pathetic moustache drawn on it!

  • @Amankila1 'Ill change my name to Ploppy if it will help' LOL

    I remember that well.

  • @Amankila1 i can't stop thinking of the show The Tudors and Anne's executioner

  • @Amankila1 Me neither!

  • It's amazing how many wonderful and interesting videos you can find on YouTube. I subscribed instantly to these videos! : )

  • so interesting....thanks so much for uploading !

  • i never knew how hard it was to be an executioner. i guess i forgot that they probably HAD to do it. they are regular humans who were probably eventually very dramatized by it

  • I wish American tv would show cool shows like this instead of stupid "reality shows"

  • @cwood4ever Indeed. All we have in america is jersey shore, and shows that depress you.

  • @munchchewy0

America has PLENTY of excellent entertainment. Only the ignorant believe that all there is around is "Jersey Shore" because they're *told* to believe that.

Two great examples of great American Television: Dead Like Me and Firefly. Two totally different types of television, but totally American in their approach and very smart. Sadly, both short lived :( But other shows such as Dexter and Boardwalk Empire are examples of success for smart television in America.

  • Seeing all that food makes me hungry

  • Tony is an actor at heart, he got carried away playing a part, or at least that's how I see it.

  • "And right at the bottom of the Hampton Court heap"...was Baldrick!

  • amazing ! :)

  • Wow, I wouldn't have the courage to put my head on a block, that's why I would probably kiss the King or Queen's ass to keep in their favor. I'm sure everyone here would, too.

  • @mckfrr Normally that would be true, but what if that particular King or Queen got "sacked"? You wouldn't have a choice if you'd lick their arses to the end. :D

You'd be off to for the chop along with your monarch.

Take the English Civil War for example and the French Revolution.

  • Wow, great video! You should enter your video into this contest, Ewisdomtv

  • thx is helped with my history homework i needed to do, some of my class mates told me to look on is vid and it helps lots! thx for putting it up!

  • I love that executioner, would love to have him as a History Professor at University!

  • this series is AWESOME!!!!..Tony is the man.....but life in those days freakin sucked...

  • I love how descriptive that author "executioner" guy was.

  • 4:07-4:20

HOLY CRAP that was a little to descreptive! rofl

  • nah u can hear by the way he says it, he relishes it

  • that executioner enjoys his job

  • BALDRICK!

  • Comment removed

  • For some reason the spit boy part makes me hungry for roast beef.

  • ILY OMAR

  • Tony Robinson - such a great guy!

  • Yeah he is great!!

  • yeah hes cool

  • I think the historian who does the execuitioner is also a gentleman warder from the Tower of London and he's also an author on books about execuition and torture.

  • I love how distressed-looking Tony gets when Jeffrey's describing how the blood gushes out of the body.

  • I wish they made an American version of this show

  • Oh yeah, I'd love to see an American actor pull off what Tony Robinson does in this show. This is reality TV as far as I'm concerned.

  • who said it had to be an actor?

I just want to see a reality-based show that has some educational value to it.

  • Good point, but I'd just like to see an American actor who usually is more then tabloid bait do something like Tony Robinson does on the show. I'd say this much for the Brits though they do good educational shows once and a while and Worst Jobs is one of them.

  • I knew I recognized the voice ...It's BALDRICK! They could not have picked a better actor to to this show! anyone else notice?

  • i like this show i find very interesting what jobs people did back then

  • the excutioner put tony in his place , it's not funny neck cleaving

  • @jmm1233 To be fair, I think Tony was laughing because he cut a pumpkin in half easier than he thought he might, and it's not real if it's just a squash you're cutting. The executioner was putting not only Tony in his place, but we the audience, too. It's easy to use humour to distance oneself from the horror of execution by beheading---it's very hard for most people to even begin to think about killing people every day as a JOB. It makes the skin crawl. *shivers*

  • @jmm1233 i laughed when i read this

  • Anne Boleyn wa sbeheaded with a soward dear

  • yes the exectuer felt so sick doing it, it was done frence style with her upright, the executer shouted 'where's my sword?' just before he did it so she wouldnt know it was coming x

  • yes poor anne

  • Thank you for posting these, I love this series. The headsmen scene is moving and taken from a wonderful personal view. My favorite episode would be the worst royal jobs in history, but for now I enjoy these segments. Thanks again!

  • Ha ha, it's interesting to see Baldrick say something intelligent :P

  • thanks for uploading!

  • Your welcome :) Hope you enjoyed it !
