Hopefully it can maintain its 'independence' from being owned by any major corporation. Don't want someone having exclusive rights and price-gouging the features when it's already been made clear that it adds very little to the traditional manufacturing costs.
Yeah, the Notion Ink Adam looks awesome. Anyone who knows about the Adam and still buys an iPad must have something wrong with them. Apple blew it big time with the iPad, but it doesn't even matter, because Notion Ink hit one out of the park with the Adam.
And yes, the price for the Adam is confirmed to start at $327 (but that's without the Pixel Qi display).
So awesome. The fact that it can be built on traditional LCD manufacturing linesmeans that we should soon see this is sizes other than 10.1 inches. I would love a 13.3 inch tablet as, at that size, one would be able to read an A4 formatted pdf (8.5X11") at a near 1:1 ratio (assuming the screen is HD format you'd have to cut a bit off the right/left margins to fit it on the screen.
This is the reason i have not bought an ereader yet. Been watching Pixel Qi for a long time. Combine this technology with android and ereaders become increasingly useful to me for technology based textbooks..
check out notion ink video on charbax its cool.

Notion Ink's Adam tablet has done Apple should have with the iPad.
Adam is awesome, Nvidia tegra2 with pixel Qi, flash support, twice the battery life, open source SDK, Ubuntu/ChromeOS/Android.
And guess what? its cheaper than the iPad, starting at $350.
No im not lying :D

Let us see it actually ship at 350... I'll still get it at 600-700, though.

Finally, a well engineered solution that actually matches the problem. Good work, Pixel Qi!

The 'Adam' tablet by Notion Ink will use Android on the new Tegra2 system on a chip along with Pixel Qi display. Think it's coming out this June.
