  • Seriously.....

I have seen some excellent games come out for the Colecovision by Activision and Parker Brothers but this is good.

I really want to know why only modern programmers push the potential of these systems and make them do what no one else has.

Was it laziness? Was it time constraints? What?

  • @kpreston69 - part of the answer isn't lazynes but some constraints homebrewers today dont have : deadline and production cost. If you look at the commercial CV games made in the 80s, most of them are limited to 16KB while the console was made to suppport up to 32KB without any effort. Why 16KB? because memory chips were not cheap back then and by cutting some parts like cuscenes and levels it was possible to, with optimization, squeeze a CV game into 16KB. CV homebrew games are mostly 32KB.

  • A shooter with multiple weapon powerups and bosses on ColecoVision...Impressive!

  • I think you're better at it than I am! Thanks for posting a video. :)

  • Wow, great stuff. It's like having Aleste on the Colecovision! 5/5 for me!

  • Cool bosses !

  • Looks cool but the music suck... I'd prefer sound effects instead.

  • wow.

    That looks pretty damn good!

  • Looks pretty fun so far.

  • This looks like a good game but, one part of the music sounds like Columns! If you play that you will hear what I mean! +_+

  • Very solid game but where's the score?

  • It's still under development. And you can write to the programmer to give your suggestions, or look at Atariage forums web site for "up-to-date" details about this game.
